After reading some interviews with Bioware I'm getting the impression that a Dragon Age 2 may not be a direct sequel to DAO. Statements like "Dragon Age is a timeline" makes me think that Bioware will create games telling of major events in Thedas during the "Dragon Age". In DAO we had the Blight, in a Dragon Age 2 maybe the story will tell of another major event hundreds of years in the future or even the past.
