1. Sentinel can easily survive this if most of the enemies are in tech armor explosion radius (12m or 18m depending on evolution) so they are stunned

2. Harbinger is really crappy at killing engineer drones, just make sure he constantly attacks your drone, had no trouble with him as an engineer, you can kill him 1v1 without using cover at all

3. Infiltrator/Soldier can kill him really quickly however he will respawn if there are some minions left, so defense>offense in this case

4. Adept probably can stunlock him with singularity, but I haven't played this class enough to claim that

looks like ppl are still feeding the troll. the scion are the weird overgrown looking husk things that shoot shockwaves at you or the multi-husk things that shoot blue eye lazers at you? either can be pretty annoying on insane but still not that bad if you get your team into better postions. something i noticed about harbringer is it seems to home in on the closest target to him. it was the best way i could kill him when i was on the collector base floaty platform things. the scion (i think) that is on the platform that keeps moving around was more of a pain then harbringer. it kept killing me as i tried to take out the harbringer. oh btw throwing the collectors of the platforms keeps you from even having to deal with a harbringer in the first place. i loved using samara and maranda in squad for this part.

Scions are the shockwave guys.  They're also made of piles of husks.   And yes, they've caused me more deaths than any other enemy in this game, but just the one on the floaty platform thing and the ones in the big courtyard.

Throwing collectors is great, but it's hard to do quickly enough to stop a harbinger from spawning on insanity.    I just wish harbinger had health so that I could enjoy throwing him around.

Forum is so full of idiots with the inability to read. A buggy ability that results in instant death for some classes, is simply bad design in a shooter.



I could beat this game in half the time any of you lamers could even make it to horizon, even with your favorite class.. "Omgz I must have trouble with duh habringer", no. I noticed a bug, I tested the bug, It is a bug or its a bad design flaw. Heaven forbid someone try to make this game better and actually tests things.

yeah; i just got done with tali's loyalty mission with the ____ infiltrator and tali, myself being a infiltrator and it was so easy i crapped myself, i didn't even shoot my weapon, i just turned all them on each other and let tali and the other guy do the rest. how bad is the jump from hardcore to insanity ive been increasing my diff level with each playthrough :-)

I had no idea testing gameplay bugs and providing constructive feedback was "nerd rage-esque". But since you are probably a low self esteem loser, you think calling peoples post "nerd rages" builds you up somehow. Children these days.

Engineer is greatly underrated, it is really easy to play on insanity and its probably the only class that can 1v1 anything without using cover (well, not anything because drones do not taunt preatorian, but almost anything),

There are still people posting on this thinking I had problems with harbringers. Good god people. This is a post about a BUG regarding his knockback ability. This is not about "harbinger omgz". It's not about difficulty. Something with the collision detection or I don't know what. I only died on my engineer maybe 8-9 times through the first half of the game, all of them at horizon or the ship, one on garrus. 3 of them to praetorians.

I'm pretty damn good with an engineer, heh. Just so happens I DISCOVERED THIS BUG while playing my engineer. But this bug does make all the weaker classes even more weak, as none of them have a defense if it hits. Sentinel has tech armor and can survive, soldier has rush, infiltrator has cloak.

This is NOT ABOUT DIFFICULTY.
This is NOT ABOUT ENGINEERS "SUCKING".
This is about a bug/design flaw that exacerbates class imbalance(secondary issue) and injects luck into a skill based game(primary isue).

I like how the Harbinger attack knocking him out of cover is now a bug. Despite it being an attack that happens in a pattern, is slow moving, and easy to avoid.



No I think everyone's right. You have problems with the Harbinger. The fact that you died 8-9 times in Horizon goes to show it. But of course, I guess me playing Adept makes it a lamer no skill class and I should play a real class like Engineer.

I didn't die 8-9 times on horizon. I died 3 times on horizon, once to the praetorian due to "accidental cover mode".

You died more than that playing on normal with an ez mode infiltard, which is utterly laughable.

And i know you are a troll inga and don't bother to read posts for anything but more troll material, but for the others reading through the thread: i tested the knocback, it's unavoidable sometimes even while moving from undercover, Luck based/random. I don't know if it's intended to do so or the collision detection is wonky at certain angles  or what. Seems to only do it when the harbinger is on a different height than you, higher or lower and doesn;t have to fire over something right in front of him/her/it.

i usually pick reave as my special power and have miranda and samara with me. two rank 4 reaves or one reave and warp then you just have to throw them off. if you have group throw then youll knock them all of really quickly. same with concussion shot. yeah the scion killed me the most on the platform parts. harbringer was a concern but get him out of the picture and its all good after that.

Wasn't playing normal mode on Infiltrator.

I actually died less than that.

Sorry man you're just bad. Hope the scary Harbinger doesn't give you nightmares when you take a nap today curled up with your snuggie.

As for being a troll... I'm not the one going into other people's threads telling them that they're idiots and that they need to be sterilized. Keep up the good work though, you're very entertaining.

Guess I'll give you a real response in hopes that you actually read it and don't try to flame again.

You can completely dodge the Harbinger's attack but it depends on the angle it's fired from. If it's directly in front of you, it's easy to avoid. If it's on a big angle it will follow you and hit you. That's not a case of randomness or luck. That's you being in a bad position. You need to move else where OR come out of cover just before it hits the wall, move 1 foot back then go back under cover. You'll take less damage than actually being hit by the burst.

I just bring Grunt on insanity and stay clear from Harbringer untill it shift focus to him, altho i did get owned 3 times in a row befor i decided to restart and take Grunt with me. Grunt can take such a beating befor he goes down (especially with his special ability).

Damn i love that krogan!=P

/Oh yeh, it helps if u can cloak or get way behind ur team, since he do seem to focus on the player.

Nah. I'm not talking about difference in in x-axis. I haven't really found a good spot for testing that other than platforms and didn'tt really noticed the problem there. It's the y-axis difference than makes it unavoidable randomly. Now I suppose you could avoid it by storming off just before it gets close but that's simply not possible to do in the game, if you wanted to but your nose off in spite of your face. It's not the knockback that kills you, it's the lack of cover that kills you.
