The first time you do the quest with the crazy biotic girl and her boyfriend on life support, until you find out what's really going on and how easy to kill she is.
That was pretty scary. Just finding a vegetated man on an abandoned, silent ship, drifting through space...

It's probably this one; totally caught me off guard. The Noveria Rachni are worth mentioning, too.casedawgz wrote...

Should've gone with shotguns, they massacre rachni.Prioris wrote...
(In fact, rachni were the sole reason I added an assault rifle to my Shep's talents on New Game Plus - I wanted something bigger than a pistol to back up my sniper rifle.)
Also, Husk ship. Goddamn Husk ship!

Yeah, the Feros mission was well done. Right away you realise something's not quite right and the colonists are hiding something. It's like the Wicker Man. With robots and explosions.
haha! I definitely agree. Yeah, husks, rachni, saren's undead corpse were all kinda weird, and the first thresher maw I ever faced made me jump for a second whenever it just randomly popped out of the dirt screeching, i admit - but nothin' bad really; The Feros mission though was just straight up eerie as ****. That entire time, I felt like Nicholas Cage, or Edward Woodward, running around trying to figure at what the hell's up with these people, and then the next thing I know, they're trying to kill me. However, unlike the Wicker Man, I slaughtered the townsfolk, not the other way around haha, then next gameplay I decided to be Paragon cause' after that mission, I really needed to have a stogie to settle down hahaha

lol, now that I remember, this was an eerie mission too, but I was pretty certain that some crazy mofo was going to stab me in the back, so I was prepared whenever that chick started blasting at me

Agreed wholeheartedly.
And sure, it's an easy task.
But the atmosphere is genuinely disconcerting.
It didn't help that the first time I encountered her, she died with the most maniacal grimace on her face...

There was another mission, on an uncharted world were these researchers became machine cultist and somehow turned into husks, but when I went into the mining shaft, there were these two doors (right next to each other), and right right when I got near one of them, the door suddenly opened, and like, 15 husks run out. In my pistol shooting frenzy of surprise, I back into the other door, which also happened to open by itself, and out come 15 more husks... needless to say, I love biotic lift, and carnage very, very much.

The scariest moment . . . the first ime I encountered a Thresher Maw. it was late at night, and scared the sh!t out of me, literally, lol.
I still twitch a little when, in the middle of a fight, I think they're gonna pop up in one place and they pop up right underneath me, lol.

Those things are BIG. And that whole disappear and dodge thing? Annoying. Creepy. Not what I was expecting.
The worst part was the second time I was driving around on some unexplored world. Saw a big open space and figured, "Oh, well there won't be anything HERE. This is a totally different world!" And then I learned the importance of reading the Codex entries.... and dodging acid.
