I disagree. Tali was the real romance. Built up over two games. Everyone else came off as flings. Even all 3 ME1 romances. Thane was very romantic in dialogue I'd agree. But the whole 'dying' thing made it seem more like a fling he'd perfectly remember for the rest of his short life.

But still, I'd put him as the most romantic option for FemShep.

It's probably a bit of a crush, but with the friendship real love is certainly possible. I think it's a bit impractical to have romance with Tali as a human. Relationships are hard enough without having never seen the other person's face...EVER and then having to conduct most of your relationship with a suit between you. This just wouldn't work long term unless Shepherd was really, really committed.

I would have agreed with you if this were the first instance that they had met. Remember that they had a history, albeit with her as a young adult. It likely was just a crush then.

But seriously, for two years they've been separated, and she actually reminisces (sp) about him out of the blue (logs on her recruitement planet)? There is no crush that lasts 2 years, with the other person completely out of your life.

It's also an unwritten rule of thumb that infatuation lasts for about 6 months tops, so if you harbour those feelings for someone for longer than around 6 months or so it's likely real love.

I disagree. Tali's romance is a progression of a previous relationship and it's clear she's been thinking about Shepard during the 2 year interim. Thane, Jack and Tali are the romantic romances, Garrus' is romantic AND stress release, and Miranda and Jacob are stress release.

I think it's more then a crush, at least now. Ashely and Kaiden let go of you, Liara is just one huge ball of stress and angziety and probably had relationships with her Drell partner. Miranda I guess likes you? After all she stared at your dick for a good two years while bringing you back to life. Jack is a walking minstrel cycle and probably will go on her pirate and bandit explorations after Mass Effect 2. Garrus for female Shepards probably has more of a crush. Kelly is a **** with Varren STD's, Samara likes you but is held to the code.

Garrus - Real Romance/Stress Release
Miranda - Stress Release
Jack - Stress Release
Jacob - Stress Release
Ashely - Let you go
Kaiden - Let you go
Liara - Up to her head in **** because of you. Probably still a Real Romance.

It's very possible. I keep picturing Tali coming down off of her 'high' on Shepard, then rejoining the Migrant Fleet. I doubt it'll happen, but still. That seems like something that could happen in the last installment of a series.

Remember Quarian age =/= human age, neccessarily.

However, there is no doubt that she was likely adult in all but name pre-Pilgrimage (ME1), and the two years have cemented this.

I listened to a Tali conversation on YouTube from ME1 because I was curious about what she had said about something, and I was blown away how much higher-pitched and immature-sounding (that is, voice sounded undeveloped) she was.

I think it is because most woman in RPGs are either >30 if they are developed in the West or <18 if they are developed in the East and thus a youthful adult boggles minds.

Indeed. It would stand to reason that, in the Migrant Fleet, a Quarian would need to mature mentally MUCH faster than some regular old human (or even other  non-humans), because of the massive responsibilites each one needs to keep the fleet from falling apart.

Don't get me wrong, I think Tali's romance option was the most mature/had-the-most-foundation. It's just that some people who are, not necessarily obsessed, but devoted to something lose interest once they receive that object/goal. Again, I seriously doubt it will happen, but I wouldn't put it past BioWare to do something that dramatic.

Thats what I always thought. The Liara relationship always gave me wierd pedophile vibes because she's essentially a 14 year old physically/emotionally. Just a smart one.
