You know, I still don't like the dialogue wheel (this includes 'spontaneous' interrupts).

I have no idea what Shepard is going to do when I make an action. Had I known that my Paragon interrupt was hugging her while aboard a ship still crawling with hostile Geth I would have skipped it entirely.

We're here on a job, Tali. I need to know you can finish the mission. There will be time to grieve when we're done.

I have too much of a soft spot for Quarians. Even on my Renegade I told off C-Sec, gave 1k creds to the one on Omega, and told Regar (I think) to stay in cover.

Agree 100%. Head-butt was the best one in the game, followed by the hug. And I totally head-butted him despite my Paragon status. When on Tuchanka, do as the Krogans do... or you'll make your good buddy Wrex look bad.

I don't think it's Xenophilia. Keep in mind Liara was "barely an adult" and Tali just finished her "pilgrimage". Maybe they just like them young.

Tali is 24, and knows how to deal with seedy underworld assassins (with a grenade to the face!)... and Liara already has a doctorate, works by herself, explores dangerous planets, is an all around badass biotic, and is 106.

While that is true, one wonders why, if you're incapable of suspending disbelief for long enough to grow any sort of attachment to a video game character, you even want to play the game?  Bioware often sets its games up on the foundations of strong characters, ME2 more than most.  If you're incapable of caring about them at all, what makes the game compelling?  Certainly there are other shooters you could be playing, or other RPGs that let you spend your time calculating and optimizing stats.

Why play a character-driven video game?

I did not let Tali cry. Though, I just hugged her and really didn't stop her from crying. I'm sure she kept crying into my shoulder. So, technically, I did let her cry....on me and not standing by herself.
