Actually, I don't think a game like this would work if you can't invest emotionally in characters. At least, I think it will be a far less of an epic story. I mean, if you don't feel anything when you see people feel bad/die/are happy etc. in a game like this.. it would be pretty boring!

wat do u mean watching her ball?

There is a scene on the migrant fleet where Tali is upset about her father, and she copes with it by playing quarian basketball.  It's a confusing sport.

What, so you've never becoming invested in a fictional character? In films, novels, TV or other games? Please, I find that difficult to believe.

I let her cry on my renegade. also let her die, since I was only at 95% renegade when her and legion were arguing, so I couldn't use the intimidate option. and I sided with my boy legion. She died escorting the crew. buh-byeee

I simply don't understand how anyone can finish the game with ZERO renegade point. They're not playing the game .. They're playing the blue meter.

In all my playthrough i always finish with either 70 % renegade and 40 % paragon or 75 % paragon and 35-40 % renegade. My shepard feel much more human this way.You can't always be an idiot idealist. You have to make choice .

SPOILER!!

Taly crying?Sure i'm going to hug her. She's my crewmates and a friend.

That mech i zoom with garrus sniper?I will headshot it.He's a robot and he want to kill me.

That mechanic batarian?I'm going to pikachu him . He's repairing a ship that almost kill my teamates.

Jack menacing me?I'm not here to save her ..I'm not a Knight-errant.She menace me?I'm more bad ass than her.

They want my weapons? Hell No

I'm here to save the civilian .OBEY ZAED.

The salarian that point a gun at me?I'm not taking a chance with a nervous and inexperienced Salarian ... TIGER PUNCH.No time to think.

I'm not playing the blue bar,.I'm playing the game!
They can't do it in this game. But some paragon choice should get you killed and vice versa.Who would take a chance when someone menace you with a frigging Gun and you're exploring a thug area?

That why i don't buy the whole blue/red bar.Because it's basicly say you can solve problem with this .. without any dangerous and right in the bat consequence.

SInce when you pick the blue bar.You know it's the good Knight-errant chocie and that will make everyone happy. It's to easy.

I don't think I have the heart to do it. Even if I played full Renegade.

Certainly as good of an interupt as there is on the Paragon side in the game.

Pushing over the high volus is better.

I'm going to try it this time because i've just fired up my megab**** renegade playthrough. But it's hard. Tali is just so sweet. You'd have to be ultimate cold-blooded killer not to comfort her there.

that was my toughest choice in the game, because there is no entirely "good" or "bad" option.

lol, yeah! None of my Sheps has that problem. Maybe if you could do a playthrough as Ashley, that could happen.

When Tali is over her father crying, who here had the guts to let that paragon interupt sequence option pass-up? I still am unable to do it, even on my renegade profile I must hit it. I just want to know. How many people here let it fly by, and just stood over Tali watching her ball her eyes out?

I couldn't ignore her, even though my opinion of Tali has somewhat lessened with all the creepy fans

I think in this one, even more than the first, they made it almost impossible to get through the game without making some renegade choices. I mean, right from the start, Shepard is a renegade in this one, for teaming up w/Cerberus. Part of the whole "dark second chapter" feel of  ME2, which they got right IMO.

If you ignore her you get a renegade option to shoot her and leave her to die on the ship, putting her out of her misery

I'm just going to go ahead and admit right now that there's no way I'm going to be that heartless. No matter how hard I try.

I had to comfort her myself. My Shepard and his impossibly high cheek bones would demand nothing else.

Best interrupt in the game, next to the headbutt. Both are must-do's regardless of paragon/renegade status.

so far my favorite is puttting a few bullets in grunt and then he respected me. i wish the real world worked like that...o wait, it kinda does...

Tali is 24, and knows how to deal with seedy underworld assassins (with a grenade to the face!)... and Liara already has a doctorate, works by herself, explores dangerous planets, is an all around badass biotic, and is 106.

and nowadays she's also a ruthless killer. It was very jarring to see her acting so cut-throat in this game. I wonder what will become of her in 3.

I think with the reprogram option... all the heretic's memories and experiances get carried on into the collective... so at least they kinda live on.  If there is no way around destroying them, at least we can keep their memories alive.

Edit: Heh forgot how relevant to the thread my sig is... ive had it since they announced there would be a hug interrupt, little did i know how epic it would be.
