So, I'm level 21 now, and I had been saving some squad points so I could evolve a skill instead of putting them into a skill I didn't want. But, at the mission report screen, it says I gained -1! What the crap is that? It takes a point away, it has happened at level 20 and at level 21. Is this supposed to happen, because if it is, that is ridiculous.

Does it really say you have negative 1 points or does it just say you have one less than the level before? Are you sure you didn't accidentally click a talent and waste a point on it and didn't realize it?

and I've noticed some people in the squad not gaining as many points as others, but what you mention hasn't happened to me yet.  It sounds funny, though

I had that same issue with a few squadmates as well. I do not know how many points total they are suppose to have once at level 30 and how much they are to gain each level (nor me for that matter), so it makes it a little difficult to know if it is incorrect or not, but as far as squad mates I can tell simply by seeing 2 that all things are even (2 things maxed out on all of them for example) and one is capable of leveling something else up, while another is a point or 2 from being able to do so. I don't know, as I said it is hard to tell without something to show us what is suppose to happen each level.

As far as the game itself goes Technical issues are excepted with a new release, and while I ran into many (climbing up a random wall when I try to take cover on it, walking in mid air in one area, etc) they aren't in such a high number that they interfere and when they did happen I kinda did a "WTF lmao" face basically.

I made a post about this earlier today, from what I can tell Miranda and Jacob have one more squad point than all your other squadmates.  At level 30 my Miranda could max out Warp, Overload, and Cerberus Tactician, with a free point in Slam for getting her loyalty.  So apparently in order to max 3 abilities on anyone other than Jacob or Miranda you'll have to max their loyalty ability (since you get 1 free point in it when it unlocks) and any 2 others.

Maxing the loyalty ability gives them more points? Never noticed that. Would be nice if Bioware could clarify how many points per level one person is to get and what the squad members are to get and as well explain what you just mentioned.



P.S. this is random but: I AM TOTALLY IN LOVE WITH THE VANGUARD lol using reave and shockwave on bumpers and then the class specific charge. He is so much fun. Exciting way to play.

No, it actually says that I gained "-1" points.



I mean, it isn't really a huge problem, as I can still play and destroy everything, its just kind of annoying

I get negative squad points all the time...why is this?

I'm having the same problem, and can't find a fix for it anywhere. I had a couple extra points to buy a rank 3 ability, but after a couple of missions where it said I gained "-1 squad points" those points disappeared. I have no idea what's going on. This problem has been posted at other sites, but no-one seems to believe it's occurring or have any idea how to fix it...

The same, though I did something wrong myself. I installed the game and worked fine, but translation to my country language - czech was terrible and annoying. English was not proposed to use. I used a hack to get it working in english and at the same time installed some DLCs. After this I played and squad points start fading away. So if it was not my "hack" with translation and I doubt it, the reason could be in the game alone, or it may be in some DLC (I downloaded and installed all the free available packs).

I just started seeing this as well! I'm on my 3rd play through, just installed Lair of the Shadow Broker and used the "Retrain Powers" for the first time to re-level one of the NPC's.  Now completing missions is taking away points!

Is there a way to screen shot on the Xbox 360 so someone will believe us?

Squadmates should have 31 points at level 30 (except for Liara who gets only 30 from what I read)
