I just signed into my game to find that the following DLCs had been declared unauthorized:
Collector's Edition,
Soldiers Peak,
The Stone Prisoner,
and Return to Ostagar.
And I assure you, before this point everything WAS authorized, but recently I've been anable to enter the game becuase the content is unaccessable. My verion of the game was the collecter's addition which came with the codes for the Collector's Edition material, Blood Dragon Armour and Stone Prisoner, but now it's no longer so. Now I either have to buy a MASS of bioware points to get it all back, or perhaps there's something that I've missed which is causing this problem.
Please, help would be greatly appreciated.
Emergency: All Downlodable Content has been unauthorized.

Have you checked your user entitlements page? http://social.biowar...ntitlements.php
If they are on that page, they are tied to your account, and there is no reason you would have to re-purchase anything.

Make sure your Dragon Age Origins Content Updater service is running correctly. As long as you play logged in the game tries to connect to the server to verify your rights to the content. It cannot do that without the Dragon Age Origins Content Updater service It is supposed to start when the game launches, but there is a timing issue where it is not always started before the game tries to check with the server. Try manually starting it before you start the game and see if that lets you load your saves:
1.) Press the windows key + R (or click Start and then RUN) and type in services.msc and press ENTER
2.) Locate the Dragon Age: Origins - Content Update in the list of services.
3.) Right click it and select START
If you have ongoing issues with it starting automatically you might want to try the beta fix, which should help resolve most of those issues.
If the service doesn't start or is missing there is more troubleshooting information in Section 3 of the Redeemed DLC Unofficial Troubleshooting and FAQ .

Well I was logged in when I noticed the error.
But on a positive note, it's working now. Thank you for providing help all the same, I will remember this site whenever I have additional problems.

I have a question. In case I decide to reformat my PC the game data wouldn't be lost, but i'd have to reinstall it anyway. So how to save downlodable content gained by using coupon. since it's one use only, and game downloads armor and stone prisioner content directly. It's not ment to be installed manualy as it apears. But then again I may be wrong, and the install package is saved somewhere.

I had to go to the DA file and remove htm`s. The game just uploaded them, next start up into downloadable content, reloaded and was off to the races. None of my games saved however so it was atart again.

Now that you've redeemed the codes the DLC is associated with your account, and if you reinstall and the DLC isn't there, it will download and reinstall it again. However if you want to avoid the hassle, just backup and restore your My Documents\\Bioware\\Dragon Age directory when you're reformating. As long as that directory remains undisturbed your DLC remains installed.

Tnx Kepha. I learned a bit of it myself about a day later, when I red the manual again.

- I swear to you this will work. i just did it myself and fixed the issue. if it does not just follow the last steps
- Close out of the game. Go to My Documents/Bioware/Dragon Age/Settings.
- Find the Addins.xml file and open it with Word Pad, Notepad, or any XML editor.
- Press Ctrl. A to select all, then Ctrl. C to copy.
- Paste the copied text into a new Notepad, Word Pad, or Word document and save the file. This will be your back-up.
- Go back to the Addins.xml file and replace all entries that read RequiresAuthorization="1" with RequiresAuthorization="0". [/b]
- NOTE: Make sure you do not make any other changes.
- Save and close the document and try running the game.
- If this has no effect, restore settings by pasting the contents of your backup document back into the Addins.xml, then Save and Close.

Epicadian, thou art my savior in this time of need! Seriously though, why is so much bioware stuff so frequently broken? I can't imagine how insane The Old Republic might be if they have trouble with the upkeep on this stuff...

yeah. the old republic has no hope if something this minor persists after all this time.

Epicadian, thanks for the information. You just saved me from many hours of downloading and reinstalling Origins DLC content! Now please excuse me while my duel-wielding rogue carves up some darkspawn! :-)

Kepha came for a few weeks when DAO was new, was a great help here, but has been gone now for at least a year. I don't think we've seen Epicadian in the past couple of months, either. You'd probably have done better to try a PM addressed to Epicadian here at the forums.

I uninstalled my game a month back cause it had this problem. my old Dlc was unauthorized and I couldn't play the game in my new computer.
So any idea has this problem been solved?
My Os is win 7 64bit and I read somewhere that DA:o dosen't support 64bit OS is this true?
was the problem cause I had new OS? or with the bioware servers?
