I'm confused. I just spent fifteen minutes wrestling with the search function looking for an explanation on the what and the how to upload the character so I can get that bloody ring.
Apparently I must be using the wrong keywords or else people aren't talking about it. Could someone please enlighten me as to what I'm suppose to do?
Is it a screen shot? Do I drag and drop something from the Dragon Age files? What?
So, wait, what's being uploaded for the ring?

You need to download the Dragon Age: Origins Character Creator, log in to your BioWare account using the 'Log In' function in the CC, then create a character and upload it using the option in the CC.

You need to download the character creater. http://social.biowar...ctercreator.php
Create a character in the CC, then login using the same email you use here and click the Upload button.

What about porting to the consoles? Will that be possible? Or is the ring/pre-made character a PC only option?

I think I heard that it would be for consoles as well:)

That would be nice. I would've LOVED to have it on my desktop, but I'd have to shell out a ton to upgrade it first. So I figured I'd go the reliable route of running it on a system that the game was specifically designed for. Wouldn't want to miss out on bonus content because of my poorness

Same here... over day and no ring yet.

Same here.
Some people claim to have gotten the email.

Thats because there is no email with a code. The real game has a log in function just like the character creator, and once you first log in you get the option to download your ring and buy other content.

So no ring until the game actually comes out. Makes sense to me!

Same here. I still haven't got any email. But I don't think an email is required to get the new ring.koshiee wrote...

I must suppose that the ring will be added to the online character automatically??...

Makes sense. Having a log in function would also correlate with the ability to track in game progress on your profile. I guess we'll just have to wait until the game comes out. Makes sense considering we don't have inventory for our characters yet...

So does anyone know how we would get the ring on console? PandaThief said it would be for consoles but not how it would happen.

When I was signing up for the social bioware network, I vaguely recall there being a spot where I could link my account to my gamertag. That is probably how you get the item on the consoles.

There was already an official answer, on another thread talking about the same subject, those who don't get the mail might have refused, when they made their account, to get the newsletters, and so didn't get the email, but the ring will be in the game, all you will have to do is to, when you start to game, log on your online account, and you will have the ring in-game.

1. Yes, you can use this on consoles.
2. No, you do not need the e-mail.
3. This is tied to your Dragon Age account. You can have a different e-mail, as long as you log-on to your DA account before you play.

Where are you looking for the option? In the cc? In the cc, after you finish making your character, there is an option in the lower left corner to log in to you ea account. after you do that, then you can up load your character via the buttion right below their portrait.
