Look, I feel for people playing FemSheps, but you're jumping to conclusions here. They might have made a decision that Tali's just not bi. Or maybe the voice actress didn't find it appropriate for her voice to be used in that way.
Why would Jennifer Hale have a problem with recording Femshep romance dialogue for Tali and not for Liara, Samara, Kelly and, yes, even Ashley in the original game? (romance isn't present, but the dialogue has been found).
Unless you mean Liz Sroka, but then almost all of her dialogue is the same as for Maleshep there. The only bit of romance dialogue that seems gender specific is one line where she says either "his" or "he" at one point when talking about traveling with Shepard the first time.
I wasn't talking about Jennifer Hale, I was talking about Liz. Anyway fact is that in the full version of the game, a female can't romance Tali. So just because some of the dialogue is the same doesn't mean that she agreed to have her voice used in a lesbian relationship. Remember her original contract probably said nothing about being a love interest in the game. The ME devs were surpirsed at the response to Tali. She's got a job no matter if she agrees to a lesbian scene or not, so it's really either her decision or Bioware's decision or EA's decision. If it were her decision, it could be any personal reason that I'm not going to get into (and nobody else should either, out of respect for her privacy). If it were Bioware's decision, they decided that Tali's not bi, or at least that it takes longer for Tali to get up the courage to approach a member of a different species AND the same sex. If it were EA's decision, they probably were attempting to avoid bad press or something else silly.
Fact is we didn't get it. Let Bioware know you want it, but don't act like they were actively trying to screw us over. They put Tali in as a romance as a service to fans, I doubt they'd be simultaneously trying to anger other fans (except for ya know, the little tease of not showing her face). That isn't addressed to you specifically, but most of the people in this thread.
As for Garrus and Tali being more compatible... so what? They'll never have kids. They're not any more biologically compatible with each other for that reason. They're a little more chemically compatible, but that just means a little less discomfort from the process. I think Tali would care more about the personality of her love interest than the level of discomfort afterward.
