but legion fans have learned to communicate thru the high-speed signals of the geth, so most disscussion of him is done in the form of instantaneous telemetry signals directly between fan's brains. here is an example of a heated debate regarding legion's evolving comprehension of sentient behaviour we had a while ago:

P.S. Is Shepard shooting southpaw in Legion's picture?

You also forget that organic lifeforms can also be "duplicated" in terms of memory.

So another Geth would share what Legion experienced with Shepard commander (Legion 1.2)

What did you expect? It's a bunch of VI's networked together. Were you expecting a personality?DeathCultArm wrote...

Legion fan here, Tali and Legion need to team up for ME3 and throw a peace rock concert with Bono. There just really isn't much to talk about beyond that. Unlike DA:O the characters say surprising little if there is no romance involved and Legion doesn't have much of a personality beyond giving us a window into geth society (he is sort of the Tali (ME1) of ME2 except with less personality).
I for one welcome this new "Geth 8" concert.

They don't always agree (thus the heretics) thats why they "build a consensus" you can ask Legion at the end of his mission about rewriting and he'll tell you that the programs in him are about a half and half split between rewriting and destroying the heretics so he has you choose.Deamon023 wrote...
Just thinking, Legion is one of many and hes Shepard commander fan #1(stalking Shepard and wearing hes/her used armor) doesent that make all non virus infected Geth fans of Shepard commander? since they share a collective (hive) mind.
So another Geth would share what Legion experienced with Shepard commander (Legion 1.2)

Especially when he is shocked that some of the Geth are deceiving the others, he couldn't comprehend why would they lie.

I expected him not ot be worthless. He was basically a Geth version of Tali. EDI had more of a lasting appeal than Legion, he was just not executed properly.

Legion is quite obviously sapient and most certainly intelligent. His inability or unwillingness to answer Shepard's question about why he used the N7 armor is quite telling and shows that he has some sort if illogical--most likely emotional--reason for doing that. I think this shows that being separated from the geth collective is allowing him to develop more as an individual because he is experiencing new things that the other geth aren't.
However, none of that changes the fact that geth are software only, unlike most other AI. This means it is quite possible for Legion to make a backup of himself to be restored in the event of the destruction of his mobile platform during the suicide mission. If you want to apply organic values of life to him go right head but that doesn't change canon.
That backup, if restored, would be Legion in every way that would matter to the geth.
Your opinion seems to be in the minority.DeathCultArm wrote...

I believe Legion was quite well done, and I fully expect him to develop over time in ME3.
I also think you were one of the Legion naysayers, perhaps you just don't want to like him? :innocent:

And I go back to my earlier point, which isn't an issue of "organic values".
You lose the weight of his death or loss if it is as simple as uploading a backup. And even then, while it may behave the same it still isn't the same Legion.
Just as much as if I duplicated the memories of any organic, killed them, bred a developed clone, and uploaded those memories. I didn't bring Legion or Garrus back from the dead, I only brought their duplicate.
