I'm making this post to help people who are worried there is something wrong with their pc, like I was, and to point out another glitch.
In the cut scene towards the end of the Garrus loyalty mission the graphics go really "screwy" as shown in this video
I thought it was a problem with my GPU but it appears to be a problem with the "window" behind the characters in the cut-scene.

Mine does that as well. It also makes a trailing effect as they are walking around too.

Likewise mine also does this. I suspect this is a game bug and not a graphics issue.

Just adding my voice to the topic about this, I noticed this too along with the trailing in the Garrus Loyalty mission. It doesn't happen on any other mission just the Garrus one which is a very specific bug.
I am running the Steam version of Mass Effect 2 DDE and it's running on a Q6600 @ 2.4ghz with a GTX 260 and 3gbs of ram on Windows 7 64bit. I am using the latest Nvidia forceware version 196.21.

I had exactly the same problem. Only on Garrus' mission.

I also have strange graphics issues on his mission.
Intel® Core i7 CPU 920 @ 2.67GHz
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 280
Speakers (SoundMAX Integrated Digital HD Audio)
Microsoft® Windows Vista™ Home Premium
DirectX 10.0 (Mar2009) or later
Collectors Edition DVD
Settings in the game are default and everything is on. It's as if the graphics card stopped refreshing and simply pumps out the next image without clearing the previous one. So it looks like a multi stamp print as they move and do things. It's odd that is only basically in this mission / cut scene.

I think everyone has and I think I can offer an explanation.
When you drop Garrus off on top of that building or whatever it is, you're at the very edge of the map. There's nothing out there on the other side. And that leads to graphical glitches like this one. It's a fairly common bug in games like GTA, where you can use certain exploits to get to places you're not supposed to go.
But that it's present in a mission is a bit odd. Should be an easy fix, though.

I have the same issue as well with the Garrus Loyalty mission. Off the current topic, but has anyone else noticed when in the final mission before you setup the bomb you see the Illusive Man glitch in scene, the ceiling of the Collector base I assume.

Also have this glitch, it seems to occur during the scene change between harkin and the taxi, like they came out the wall. It looks like the effects when you get shepard wasted, only its so bad it looks like he was drinking paint thinner.

I thought it was meant to be this way?
Add up something dramatic to the way garrus gets out of the car to take the shot.

check the replies from silverhammer08 in the link below (3rd from the bottom). He gives an explanation for the issue, not sure if it's correct though.

Come on, devs. At least acknowledge the problem or post it in the "known issues" thread...

OMG, thank you for this thread! I had this "issue" too, and I instantly thought my GPU was about to get fried. Saved as soon as possible, exited the game and checked the temp, but it was only 68° or something.
I agree this should be made official as a "known issue" because it really confuses people. Therefore: Bump.
