This is going to seem odd, perhaps, but one thing I liked about Miranda was the doesn't become "All Shepard all the time" just because she's attracted to him. She wants him, but she isn't going to fall apart with him. Shepard is the catalyst for some major growth, but I didn't feel like I was her shrink. You don't fix her, you help her fix herself.

Yep, I concur 100%. In fact this a widely held feeling among most of us in this thread :)

How can you successfully romance Miranda? I tried on my first playthrough and failed :o(

If I were Niket, I definitely would have contacted Miranda before helping her father. How would it have hurt to have at least gotten her side of the story?

I understand his reasoning, personally.

This was a girl he helped escape her father's grasp when she was a cheerleader - and though I'm sure deep down he understood why he did it.. I just think that he couldn't bring himself to accept that she stole a baby, sister or not.

Her father made him a good promise - no one gets hurt. Just get the girl back to the father and things return to normal. I think he felt that if he did this - he'd help Miranda escape her father's watchful gaze.

I don't know.. I see how he justified it to himself - and I see why he didn't contact Miranda.

What I don't understand is how he could go through with it, to be honest. He helped Miranda ESCAPE - what made Oriana different?

That's the joy of romancing Miranda - it's only as amazing as it is when you do it all by yourself, mate. ;)

But..

Be a gentlemen to her. She doesn't need anyone coddling her - but she needs someone to understand her emotions.

Yes. I think this is part of why a lot of people have commented that the relationship between Miranda and Shepard feels like one of equals, a relationship that two adults would have.

But I confess Tali's fangirl crush was kind of cute. As well as her stammering backpedaling ("It was just hypothetical, of course, talking about immune systems and such...)

Any theories out there as to what kind of education Miranda received?

If I had to guess I'd go with private education all the way. From combat tactics to engineering...oh and the art of fitting into thight clothes

What would shep and his crew do without those critical skills! (especially tight cloths skill)

Private tutoring, at least until the college-level.

Miranda's sister makes a throwaway reference to earning a couple of doctorates, so Miranda probably has at least a couple in a variety of fields. (Resurrection of the dead is an interdisciplinary project.)

indeed. I would be surprised if it happened though (but OH do I want it to happen...) but new costumes as a DLC would be totally in the realm of possibilities

Exactly, I would settle for just new conversations options and/or costumes, but do you think they would bring the whole cast back to do voiceovers just for DLC? or just yvonne? Posted Image

I wouldn't be surprised if Bioware had planned some big DLC adventure from the beginning and the cast has already done the voice recordings.

I really wish bioware could go further in explaining the whole story about how she ran away from her father.
just more to leave to the imagination.........

Worth pointing out:
They did do a significant amount of voicework for Return to Ostagar DLC in DAO. Not everyone, but Alistair, Wynne, and even SPECIAL MYSTERY CHARACTER got significant extra dialogue. So it's not outside the realm of possibility.

it does depend a lot on how big the DLC is. Yvonne would definitely back if the DLC was Miranda-centric, or if the DLC was really huge (like an expansion pack-type deal.) But if it's only one or two new missions, and doesn't really have anything to do with Miranda, they probably wouldn't bring her in.
