Ashley and Liara never really appealed to me (only really romanced for the achievement), so I was already going into ME 2 as an eligible bachelor.

I myself left Ash after seeing her again on the colony. Miranda is just so much more understanding ,and accepting than Ash ever was.

Okay here is a true story:

I never would cheat on Liara ever and thought the same for Ashley (I still like ashley for the record)
But as I played the game with my Ashley Shep, I really had a tough time staying faithful. Once the scene came where the opportunity to compliment her body came up, I caved like a pound cake in the oven with a house full of 50 rabbid children doing jumping jacks. Once I did her loyalty mission and saw the tears, I sold out like Harry Potter at walmart. I lost myself in the Miranda Romance.

I virmired Ash pre-emptively for the hope of a Miranda romance when I was getting my main Adept shep to lvl60 about 3-4 months before ME2's launch. Yes I was that dedicated.

Haha I agree 100 percent. I'm pretty sure I was already sold on it when Shepard wakes up, and sees her standing over him.
