It's a verse of an Italian poet, Leopardi, a little tribute to lady Strahovski.
Miranda for me it's the best character, she's very similar to Triss Merigold.
They are risolute, they are devoted to a cause (cerberus, the lobby of mage) and they live for their cause, but at the same time they have something melancholy in their nature, something difficult to explain with words. their sweeter appearance emerge only towards the man who loves losing all barriers

I thought this was really nifty. Thank you for posting!

Man, Com. You're still up? Way to be strong!

Haven't seen that one before - she was in BSG?

Anyway, assuming you played as MaleShep, can you imagine the hassle for the guys who want to take Shep & Miranda's daughter out on a date?

That guy is so screwed.

Of course - that brings up another question;

Can Miranda even reproduce?

I asked that last night and I forgot who it was (Jskills maybe?) but they brought up the point that she was supposed to be her father's legacy. She couldn't exactly fulfill that if she couldn't reproduce. She's also supposed to be the "perfect woman" and I'm sure that includes reproduction. We could be wrong though.

Nice, Maviarab! Unlike a lot of people, I actually think Miranda looks better in game, but she still looks great there.

I dunno, in the trailer her hair actually MOVES. Which adds a lot IMO.

Hmm...I think I slightly prefer her in game just because she looks more like Yvonne in game.

Yeah, but that doesn't look quite like Miranda to me. It's vastly similar, but I feel like I'm looking at a stranger almost. I've spent so much time with Miranda in game that it's just weird to associate any other rendering of her as her. I don't know. That's just how I feel.

Otherwise it just wouldn't make any sense for him to go out of his way to make his cloned children female.

I hope they explore Miranda's father a bit more in ME3- it just seems so bizarre and creepy for a guy to want to engineer a daughter using your own modified genetic material. Makes you wonder though, I believe Miranda mentioned that she wasn't the first attempt her father made at a daughter, so does that mean there are more Miranda clones running around the galaxy?

I believe Miranda was the first clone he deemed perfect enough to keep, he destroyed the others.

Hmm....although I am with you that the in-game version looks more familiar, I'm not sure which looks more like Yvonne.

In game. The trailer version only carries a slight resemblance. Yvonne and that Miranda look more like sisters or cousins whereas the in game character is Yvonne.

Now it's a tough call Com. I think we'll all agree that the pic in the top left is the hottest though. Wow.

Actually, of those four pictures I prefer the bottom two the most.  But then I prefer non-glamour pics, especially more natural looks with little to no make-up.  The first two remind me too much of a professional photo shoot.

I feel kinda dumb for looking at this many pages of Yvonne and Miranda pics without noticing they changed eye color as well as hair color. (Although I think blue eyes/dark hair does contribute to Miranda's striking look.)

But think of this;

Miranda will live longer than any normal human - she said so herself - and since the average death age of a human in this time period is 150.. using her calculations (can't remember how she word it.. ) she'd live up to 225+ years.

He didn't say he wanted a legacy, though he probably does - but he wanted a dynasty. By putting a huge investment into this product - he would want her for one sole purpose.. to use her looks, intelligence, and powers for negotiative purposes.

When her time is almost up - or halfway through it - he could make another clone.. or eventually Miranda would make one. There is no definitive evidence to suggest that she can or cannot reproduce. Though, I don't doubt that she can - hope so.

The Shepard name needs to live on.

And on that lines - that first day with their daughter would be seriously awkward;

Shep - "So Johnny.. what do you do for a living?"
Johnny - "I.. uh.. deliver pizzas, sir."
Shep - "Is that so? You know.. when I was your age, I was running through the streets of earth dealing information to assassin's and stealing from corporate bigshots. Pizzas work, too.
Miranda - "Oh please, Shepard - be nice."
Johnny - "Thank you Mrs. Shep-"
Miranda - "When I was your age, kid - I had run away from my corrupt father and into a black ops organization hell bent on making sure humanity was the best race in the galaxy."

Honestly, this model is stunning. And it was the first time I saw Miranda.

I had been a little disconnected of the Mass Effect universe and had never heard of her. Then I saw the trailer where this model was shown and I just had to find out who that was.

It was so great playing the game and discovering that not only was she stunning, but also a really deep and interesting character, whose psychological traits I really loved.

Lol. Their poor daughter. She would be gorgeous, but no one would want to date her.

2. Faith vs. science. Ashley believes in God, whereas
Miranda is an accomplished scientist. This type of contrast is seen in
a lot of places, and its cool how bioware subtly implemented it here.

4. And, of course, their general
attitudes. Ashley is aggressive, outspoken, guided by her own strongly
held principles (which is why she doesnt join cerberus, good for her
IMO) and just has a sort of "fire" to her. Miranda, on the other hand,
is calm, cool, and calculating. She strongly adheres to the notion that
the ends justify the means. She's a master of subtlety, whereas Ash
always lets you her emotions show.

A lot of people are
anticipating a showdown between LIs in ME3 (me included), but I'm
actually especially interested in seeing how Ashley and Miranda
interact not so much because of the romance angle but because the
things stated above. Should be really interesting.

This right here reminds me of the movie Contact.

I don't know if anyone has already seen these video clips or already posted about them but I came across them late last night they are two interviews of Yvonne Strahovski on Miranda Lawson and Mass Effect 2.

Thanks, Sledge. Will check them when I have the time. Always good to see Yvonne.
