Lol. Their poor daughter. She would be gorgeous, but no one would want to date her.

And that is how it shall stay until my Shepard is dead, thank you very much.

No way I'm letting some hooligan go out with my daughter unless he's a proven war hero - or until Miranda berates me.

I'll remember to check "War Hero" in my character creation background.

Now, Spacer, Earthborn, or Colonist?

I don't know if anyone has already seen these video clips or already posted about them but I came across them late last night they are two interviews of Yvonne Strahovski on Miranda Lawson and Mass Effect 2.

Her accent *swoon*

Anyway it is sorta funny she talks about the exact same thing every actor does after they do their first VO work for a game.  It truly must be bizarre to have to act with such a bizarre script.  And the fact they have to do it all sitting in a recording studio it is amazing they can do any acting at all.

That video of her was so realistic! I had screen shots of it for my desktop for a minute. It was nice to see a realistic version of her outfit too. Gives me an idea of what my wife will look like come Dragon Con this year.

And on that lines - that first day with their daughter would be seriously awkward;

Shep - "So Johnny.. what do you do for a living?"
Johnny - "I.. uh.. deliver pizzas, sir."
Shep - "Is that so? You know.. when I was your age, I was running through the streets of earth dealing information to assassin's and stealing from corporate bigshots. Pizzas work, too.
Miranda - "Oh please, Shepard - be nice."
Johnny - "Thank you Mrs. Shep-"
Miranda - "When I was your age, kid - I had run away from my corrupt father and into a black ops organization hell bent on making sure humanity was the best race in the galaxy."

I think there would certainly be people who'd want to date her - after all, she'd be gorgeous if she only inherited half her mother's beauty. Still, the grilling (not to mention the hassle if anything WENT WRONG) would be epic.. However, I could see the daughter being as stubborn, if not more than her parents...

Shep: Johnny, know this: You hurt her and people won't know you've gone missing.
Johnny: ULP!
Daughter: DAD! Leave him alone!

Yeah, totally would not envy the man seeking the affection of Shepard and Miranda's daughter.

Also, this thread fell to the second page.. we're slipping, people.

Random Miri thought for the day: Does she really read Shepard's emails as Oriana suggests?

I'm willing to bet there's a very good chance of it, yes :lol:

I feel kinda dumb for looking at this many pages of Yvonne and Miranda pics without noticing they changed eye color as well as hair color. (Although I think blue eyes/dark hair does contribute to Miranda's striking look.)

No; I'm pretty sure Yvonne has blue eyes too.

Of course she does. She has to keep track of all those ezzo diggers after her Shep that send him enticing messages. How else are asari commandos under her contact Lanteia supposed to find their targets?

Heh, be great if you could send email responses to people in ME3. You wouldn't actually be able to type a response or anything but you could choose either a renegade type email response or a paragon response or maybe agree to help someone or tell them you're too busy.

Either way, it makes more sense than randomly running into all these people you met in ME1 out in the middle of the Terminus Systems.

I hope we can get a dinner scene with Miranda or whomever in ME3, optional of course, but just something extra to help develop the romance a bit.

Ragged edge of disaster, mate. ;)

Oh man, imagine the first dinner.

Shep - "So Johnny.. you've been treating my daughter well. Tell me, how is the sex?"
Johnny - "Oh, man, it's-"
*evil Shepard glare*
Johnny - "Non-existent."
Shep - "Good, good. You know.. the first time I laid with my wife was on the eve of a suicide mission."
*Shep looks across the table to Miranda, smirking.*
Shep - "Let me tell you.. if you ever get the chance to have at it in an engine room - go for it buddy."
Daughter - "Dad!"
Shep - "What!? Not like he'd be going after it with YOU... unless he wants to end up spaced. Do you know what that feeling is like, Johnny?"
Johnny - "N-no, sir."
Shep - "I -do-."

I asked that last night and I forgot who it was (Jskills maybe?) but they brought up the point that she was supposed to be her father's legacy. She couldn't exactly fulfill that if she couldn't reproduce. She's also supposed to be the "perfect woman" and I'm sure that includes reproduction. We could be wrong though.

Otherwise it just wouldn't make any sense for him to go out of his way to make his cloned children female.

But think of this;

Miranda will live longer than any normal human - she said so herself - and since the average death age of a human in this time period is 150.. using her calculations (can't remember how she word it.. ) she'd live up to 225+ years.

He didn't say he wanted a legacy, though he probably does - but he wanted a dynasty. By putting a huge investment into this product - he would want her for one sole purpose.. to use her looks, intelligence, and powers for negotiative purposes.

When her time is almost up - or halfway through it - he could make another clone.. or eventually Miranda would make one. There is no definitive evidence to suggest that she can or cannot reproduce. Though, I don't doubt that she can - hope so.

The Shepard name needs to live on.

And on that lines - that first day with their daughter would be seriously awkward;

Johnny - "Thank you Mrs. Shep-"
Miranda - "When I was your age, kid - I had run away from my corrupt father and into a black ops organization hell bent on making sure humanity was the best race in the galaxy."

Do you think Miranda would still refer to Shepard by his last name if they got married? I feel like at some point she would start using his first name. All my friends call me by my last name and my old girlfriend said it was hard for her to start using my first name because she was so used to my last name.

I think it's safe to say Shepard could possibly be the most intimidating father-in-law EVER.
