I think she'll have a reduced role from ME2. She's the female lead again because the story has to make since whether or not she survived. It's too early to say whether she'll return as a squadmate. I do expect her to return in some capacity, provided Yvonne is willing to return. I think she's third behind Garrus and Tali in probability. As long as she gets some kind of arc and her wworld doesn't revolve around Shepard, I'll be happy.
By that logic Liara and Ash/Kaidan should be the leads because they are the only ones guaranteed to survive ME2. Killing off Tali or Garrus in the suicide mission is very possible.
Liara thus far is the only squadmate who you must have recruited and cannot have killed off.

This interview with Casey Hudson also confirms that any LI, whether from ME1 or ME2, will have a role in ME3 and that there will be a continuation and conclusion to each romance. If you ask me, any potential LI from ME1/2 has to be a squadmate or anything but a cameo appearance. The best character dialogs and relationships were with your squad in both games.

I don't care so much a DLC. I'd like her to have a major role in the story. I'd like the option of Shepard having a life with her in some way after the whole Reaper thing is over. If the galaxy still exists, that is.So to sum it up, I am for seeing miranda in future dlc and me3. She is great.

I've had planned to be faithful to Ash, but after the psychological suplex on Horizon, and after getting to know the so called "loyalist", i've ended up thinking there was a reason (some sort of epiphany).
And not only i think she sort of completes my Shep story wise (hope, sincerely hope ME3 continues the relationship, no matter which LI one picks), but is the perfect buddy for my soldier too!
Great LI and other half of my "main", in one word: Perfect

There is the whole thing with her father, still.
Dealing with the repercussions of leaving Cerberus.
I'm 100% sure that we'll see her as more than a cameo in Mass Effect 3 - no doubt.

There is too much left for her character for her to be reduced to a basic cameo.

its never wise to be 100% about anything before it happens, however, I stand by your reasoning.

That is a loose end that definitly needs tying up once and for all.
Not just for Miranda's sake but Oriana too.
My Renegade Shep would gladly put a hole in the guys head.... or two... or three... or just blast it clean off.

Sounds good,I hope too that Bioware dosen't pull the cameo thing again, that ticked me off.Plus she has more to her story so she should be back as squadmate and LI in ME3.redBadger14 wrote...

What I mean is that she'll be less prominent than she was in the second game. She won't be the most important female. I expect a new character to take that role. Best case scenario, she'll have about as big a role as Garrus does in ME2 (which is nothing to sneeze at).Worst case, she'll end up like Bastila: hugely important in one game, minor in the second. My guess (and hope) is that she'll end up more like Garrus, Yvonnne's schedule permitting.
