But certainly a lot of them have. That thread hasn't gotten much bigger since this thread started, and this thread seems to be really taking off. (I go to watch a movie, and there's like 6-7 more pages! Good work, all!)

Some people have just made up their mind about certain characters, and won't give them a chance.

I'm a "love-all-the-characters" kind of guy...although I obviously have my favorites, I'm always open to new perspectives on characters, and on each playthrough I try to roll with a slightly different "main team". There are a few characters I never mesh with, but that doesn't mean that fans of those chracters shouldn't have their fun.

Yeah, I feel like the ME2 character groups just needed more time to get going then the ME1 groups, who were all in place.
