My criticism of it is that it's entirely non-interactive. You just have one more dialogue wheel of do-you-or-don't-you go to the engine room. How much better would it have been if the tummy hug had been a paragon interrupt, or an aggressive kiss a renegade interrupt? It would've been nice to have one or two more lines of Serious Feeling conversation--"I settle for nothing but the best" is flirty and fun, but I can see why some people think the scene itself conveys a 'one-night-stand' feel. (You have to take the romance as a whole to get more out of it.) The time to work this in would've been the 'afterglow'. Gaming is an interactive medium, there should be at least a little interaction in the love scene.

what he said. I wanted more interactivity. I think an afterglow conversation would have done wonders, and a post-game convo. Maybe a callback to promising.not promising that you'll survive.

Yes, cute post-mission banter.

“Well, I survived. Like I told you I would.”

“Yes, you did.”

“And you survived.”

“Yes, I suppose I did, didn’t I?”

“So…”

“Come here, Shepard.”

/scene

There. That too much to ask? That's nothing.
Plus, in my game, Miranda pretty much resigned from Cerberus for me. I wanted to talk about that.

Well, there's areas in the game where you have an opportunity for one, then the other. Like right away when you meet Veekor, there's a Renegade interrupt option to yell at him (or even punch him?) to get his attention, and if you resist that you get a Paragon option to deactivate the sensors he's so focused on with your omnitool. Or when you meet the reporter again, you can punch her out, but if you resist, you get a paragon option for a pretty bad-ass speech that felt a lot truer to my Captain America ManShep.

Totally forgot about that interrupt. I havent played the game in about 5 days since beating it for the fourth time... yea I was nitpicking... I think you could fit in both interrupts in while shepard walks to miranda.

Sorry for my very liberal usage of elipses.

We can only hope for some relationship-extending DLC, if BW has even considered such a thing.

LIs are a huge topic of discussion here. I'm sure that type of DLC would be quite welcome.

Yup, we're back to the Romance Pack DLC. There's even a thread for that...anyone have the link?

(My desire for a Miranda cocktail dress is almost as well known as the scanner joke at this point. But they bothered to rendered that part for the love scene already...why not get more use out of it?)

Who said the scene wasn't well done? I thought the scene was incredibly well done.

It's possible, though, for it to be intimate without being necessarily meaningful. This is what I meant - that I wanted it to be more meaningful. The only thing they'd've needed to do to accomplish this is put in some dialogue leading up to the scene. They wouldn't need to change anything at all, besides that.

Well, I'm of two minds about it.

On the one hand, it has great cinematic presentation. I love the little "hey, you" hand push, the wink, and the little tummy hug. And the unzipping of the 'future blouse' that the ESRB warned us about. And Miranda's model doesn't suffer from the severe head/rest-of-model disconnect at the neck Jacob's has (part of it is lighting, part of it is the choker), and her model is much more impressively rendered then the ME1 LI. (The little moles were a nice touch.) So, from a technical perspective, I give it an A or A+.

My criticism of it is that it's entirely non-interactive. You just have one more dialogue wheel of do-you-or-don't-you go to the engine room. Com, you always have such brilliant ideas. I would have loved a paragon interrupt during the love scene with Miri. It would make the romance scenes vastly replayable. Not that they aren't without any interaction, but it would have been even cooler to be able to experience it in different ways. I support this 100%. I'm hoping Bioware was just testing out the whole interrupt system in ME2 and will incorporate it into ME3 a lot more. Hopefully, the love scenes will be one new area they include them in.

I want to see some fanart of Miranda in a cocktail dress. I haven't been drawing nearly as much as I used to, but I may just have to give it a shot.

More miri fanart all around is a good thing. But I have to admit, cocktail dress, maybe with the hair up...yeah.

I'm sure we're agreed she has the best LI hair. Since Jack is bald. And Liara is bald. And Tali is probably bald under that suit. And Ashley won't undo her bun of steel for sex.

Garrus, though, is making a very strong case by rocking the 'stache.

I was looking for it also, it hasn't been bumped in a while. It is a good idea hopefully Bioware pulls an IW and steals some of the community's ideas.

When I quote you the picture changes... is that on purpose. I didnt realize that most of the squadmates are bald.

Apparently, with Shepard gone, Garrus had nothing better to do than watch episodes of Magnum P.I.

No, I accidentally had the wrong picture.

And most of the squadmates are bald because all alien races in ME are bald, so far as we know.

Fun fact: While searching for a reference pic to use for my drawing, I accidentally typed "****tali dress".

EDIT: Okay, that shouldn't really be censored, but I think you get the idea.
