Well, your opinion is welcome and we're glad you shared it with us honestly.
While your comment about her clothing is understandable, it's also needs to be mentioned that it is part of her character's personality. Like she mentioned - every part of her was tailored to give her an edge over anyone, including her looks - and instead of shying away from it, she flaunts it and uses it - just like how TIM and her father used her.
I actually thought Samara's outfit was more outrageous than Miranda's, to be honest - with the insane cut right down the middle - but, to each his own. Thanks for dropping by the thread - and I hope eventually one day your opinion of the character that we all in this thread love, can join the upper-echelon of the woman you respect.
Haha thanks, but I would like to say something about Samara and why she's up there with Tali. When I first saw her I thought great another Asari **** but after doing her loyalty mission and talking to her, her story and her struggle with her daughters to kill them all struck me a lot. When you talked to her on occasions Shepard would sit next to her and you would listen to her past, to me it was the first time a video game that I could forget about how someone looked, i.e. her breast and like her for her character. When you sit down next to her and talk it's like talking to a wise old sage, a Jedi Master whos been threw thick and thin and is past there prime and wants to collect all the shattered pieces of her past before her passing. And the only person I would not like to romance just for those facts.
I agree though about Miranda and what you said about her but I don't know, I personally don't like women who use there bodies to get what they want, even if they were forced to look like that, and again. It truthfully comes down to someones own personal views and insight. I do want to see Miranda in the third game though and would love to be on my team and not some second hand character that Ashely, Liara, and Kaiden were like. I also didn't like Ashely or Kaiden. I still cannot be to safe around her, she still was the closes person ever, near the Illusive Man.
I know what you mean by the whole "stuck you" part - I actually have a little sister who I rarely see due to my parent's divorcing - yet I would do anything to protect her.. so the whole loyalty mission with Miranda struck more than one note with me.. I understood how she felt and it ultimately lead me to develop a relationship with her.
After her loyalty mission, looks didn't mean a thing to me anymore - same for how you treated Samara. During the conversations with Miranda, I felt like I was talking to someone who could be my Shepard's equal - who has gone through trials and tribulations and survived. I also think that one of the things that Samara has over Miranda with you is that - you couldn't romance Samara, so Bioware had to make up for that with her character through telling you about her history and lessons she has learned. So you developed that close relationship with her because she was open with you - much like how we developed our relationship with Miranda because of how she "warmed" up to us and opened herself up emotionally to us.
If you get the chance - you really should look through some of the pages in this thread.. or maybe go through a romance with Miranda yourself - and pay good attention to her body language and the way she talks. We discuss a lot about Miranda's personality and why she acts the way she does. I think it might change your opinion on the woman as a whole and help you better understand why we love her.
@Meg;I think I'd be more interested to see the hand holding though, since that's never an option for any of my playthroughs. I'm incapable of making my Shep say anything to her that results in a "just friends" option.
Very much agree - I've tried so many times to hit "accept" on telling her that we should wait when she tells you to venture down into the engine room with her, yet it is physically impossible for me to say no to this woman - or do anything that could at all jeoperdize this relationship.
I have in fact done so, I've gone threw every character both male and female to learn more about there backgrounds. I do see your point though, Miranda does have something more, you had the option to romance or not romance her, with Samara you weren't allowed to so for people who have had backgrounds like yourself your viewpoints on those said characters are stronger. But I will always be a Tali fan
I am hoping that someone on this thread could provide information on Miranda and her backstory. For arguments, theories and simply looking back at those things for your enjoyment. I would have done it but I don't have Mass Effect 2 for the PC and I can't afford a video card to record my Xbox 360 play threws.

I first started liking her attitude and personality in ME Galaxy actually, quite liked her comic look, too. Speaking of which, that TIM picture is soooo pimp-y...
Also, I like how the OP makes a point of Jack and Miranda being not so different after all/ the fact that their roles could have been reversed being a source of their conflict. That's a very accurate observation I think, and an interesting angle on their less-than-amicable relationship...

Thanks DarthReavus. I knew how to get that option, but the problem is that I don't really want to. I'm interested to see it, but I don't think I could force myself to choose that option with my own Shepard. Hence the reason I'd like someone to post it on youtube.DarthReavus wrote...
To get that when you're in the conversation where she says it's bloody stupid hormones making her fall in love take the "Damn, you're right" option. Shepard will then agree with her that it's not the time and she'll thank him, take his hands and say "Friends."
And yes, I'm also always a paragon and can never finish a renagade playthrough. DeathCultArm would be so disappointed.

I'm a Paragon too. I've just imported my Level 60 Soldier that romanced Ash and I'm already wondering whether or not to go back to my Miranda loving Adept. The reason being that I'm not sure I can go an entire playthrough without Miranda and I won't cheat on Ash, seeing as I would never cheat in reality.

The thing that Tali has over Miranda though - is the fact that she has had TWO games to develop over.
You're as clueless as us when it comes to Miranda's pass. What we do know is that, as obvious, she was genetically engineered by her father to become his dynasty.
We do know her father provided Y chromosome - the X chromosome was taken from a pool of different woman to provide her with the best possible.. everything. Flexibility, strength, longetivity, biotics, etc.
We do know that at some point, and at some undisclosed age, she decided to run away from her father - with the help of Niket, who we also know little about.
After running away from her father - she was either sought out, or sought the Cerberus organization - to help hide from her father.
We also know that her father was a sizeable investor in Cerberus until the above occured - in which he cut off.
We know that at some point, Miranda found out that her father was making a replica of her. We know that at some point, Miranda herself - or contracted individuals, broke into her father's facility and stole Oriana (her sister) during her baby-stage.
We know that she entrusted Oriana to a family - who has raised her since.
We know that she worked with Jacob during the events of Mass Effect Galaxy.
We do not know what happened between the ending of Mass Effect Galaxy and Mass Effect 2, that's disregarding what happens during the Mass Effect redemption comics.
Beginning of Mass Effect 2, we know she was entrusted with overseeing Project Lazarus.
Blah,blah - rest is history.
Her past is as foggy to us as it is to you, that's why it's mainly speculation and theory right now.

So I thought about this a little bit... does anyone think Miranda would love being a mom. She never got a childhood and she would like someone else to experience the best childhood ever. I think she would be scared of being a parent because she never had a good dad.
it would certainly be interesting.

I personally don't think she is ready to have kids. She said it herself - she envies the time Mordin spent with the STG. I don't think she is quite yet ready to settle down.. especially with a Reaper threat on the Horizon, haha.

Thanks. ME1 import so no face code unfortunately. I find making good male Shepards a very hard task, and this is my only one. I'm looking forward with trepidation to the day I must make another to try the Tali romance. Because this one is reserved for Miranda exclusively - she deserves no lessMaviarab wrote...

I understand this. I would like video dialogue for this fact it's so foggy. I like to be nice and provide everyone with information concerning there favorite characters. I can't post what you just typed in my thread because it's not legit. The statement was for anyone whos a Miranda fan to take the time when there free, whenever to have links of it and ether message me on the forums or post it on the sticky and Ill put it on the first page for all to see
And I understand that Tali has had two games and Miranda has had one. I am not trying to make this into a fight. Again thats why I view Samara in first place with Tali even though Tali has had two games to develop. Again I am not trying to make this into an argument.

It's worth seeing, if only once. It's actually very touching, pretty much a best female friend moment.

If it was with the right man I think she'd want to be a mother. I could honestly see her wanting to have children with Shepard post-ME3. The way they clearly feel about each other in ME2 inclines me to think they'd make a happy couple and be good parents.
