...yeah I do saves before conversations with possible LIs, too.

Every time I talked to Morrigan, that tempestuous swamp-witch.

Haha- Trying to romance Morrigan while being a good character in DAO is like walking into a minefield. As for Miranda pulling Shepard on board and having some sort of romantic scene- I thought it would have been cool if they just had Miranda pull Shep on the Normandy and just give him a little wink or something- nothing to too drawn out or it would kill the tension of escaping the Collector base.

I still regret not taking my time with the romance - and getting myself to the point of "I'll come by when it's quiet" before I even hit up the derelict reaper.

Would've made the relationship feel a tad bit more real if I had, but.. win some, lose some.

I agree with you there. I was sort of bummed that as soon as I got that dialogue you had nothing else to do, but wait. There was a moment for me during a play through where I imagine my Shepard wondering when the quiet time would come haha.

Thats something that I hate in Bioware games- you have all this great dialogue, but it always seems like you can burn through it too quickly if you are too overzealous in talking to everyone. I wish they kind of set barriers in the game so that the dialogues were paced a bit. Or they could just add more dialogue:wizard:

I know what you mean, the only thing that I regret more on my first playthrough aside not sending Mordin with the survivors during the suicide mission was going through the romance dialogues hastily.

Edit: See ya Nightvision!

I think they do this a little bit with loyalty missions. Most of a character's dialogue is unlocked only after a loyalty mission. So a character you get first, you'll burn up their dialogue quickly. But someone you do near the end will have lots of dialogue. (Which is why my Shepard was hanging out with Thane so much in the end of the game...)

I'm sure this has been discussed at length in this lengthy thread already, but does anyone have any ideas how Miranda is going to protect her sister?

Assuming she sided with Shepard against Cerberus (and assuming he did).

What really angered me after you beat the game was the lack of any meaningful LI dialog in correlation to the fact you just beat the Collectors. For me, Miri just says "Destroying the Collector base was the right thing to do". Then there was recycled dialog from "Ill be by next time things are quiet". Felt really odd that BW added in the intercom thing but there's no sort of special LI dialog post-Collector defeat :(

The absolute horrible part about it is that once you do it - you won't be able to get the same feeling. You'll know what's going on - how to respond - and whatnot, so the magic of it is lost, which is really sad. I guess it explains why I'm on my 7th runthrough having Miranda as my LI just so I can experience the passion over and over again.

Oh well!

Anyways, it's midnight - and I have a splitting headache from getting a huge bump endowed upon my forehead from moshing at a concert I went to tonight. So good night, my fellow Mirimaniacs - ponder well and I hope to come back to some brilliant theories/speculations come morning!

And before I go.. I'll share once again.. my favorite pic;

i wish they'd release the dialogue trees for all the LIs like they did for BGII. or...maybe someone should jot them down.

Hopefully will be handled via DLC or ME3. This is just one part of the rest of the big plot thread of Cerberus.

You have two options:
-Destroy Cerberus once and for all. I could see this happening in ME3 or DLC, and in a way it's more likely to happen then a Miranda-specific mission or DLC.
-Spirit Miri's sister some place where TiM can't touch her. I had to think about where would make sense, and putting Oriana and her family deep in Turian/Asari/Salarian space makes the most sense. TiM's network is centered around human space, and it makes sense he'd have operatives in 'international' trade/political hubs like Illium and Citadel, but, say, the Salarian homeworld?

Of course, sticking a human family on an alien world is less then ideal. (I admit to sticking a human among a bunch of Salarians is a subject of a fanfic I'm thinking of doing...man, starting a character love thread, writing fanfic, I'm gaining Nerd XP every day...)

...have I said recently how much I love this thread, and how upbeat and positive we all are? Because I do. XX55XX just posted the poll results from earlier in a certain other character thread, and they were all pissed and like GTFO. Maybe that particular character would have more fans if the fan community were more welcoming.

I 'm curious as to how much of a role TIM and Cerberus play in ME3- it would seem that TIM does not take kindly to traitors (see description for ME: Retribution and what he is planning with Grayson). Depending on how much time goes by from ME2 to ME3, I could see Miranda's sister being a way for the writers to get Miranda away from Shepard, if thats what they decide to do ( I hope not, but who knows).

Considering Cerberus knows all about Miranda's sister, if TIM wants to get at Miranda for quitting, he would likely do it through her sister, which is Miranda's one big vulnerability. Maybe he forces Miranda into doing something against Shepard or forcing her to work for Cerberus again while threatening her sister?

I guess another factor to consider is how Miranda's father factors into all of this? Lots of questions on this...

Its probably cause we are not insecure about Miranda tbh, heh just watched the ME2 death compilations on youtube and its like Miranda can't die, so most likely its a gurantee she'll be back.

And btw XX55XX gotta hand it to you for working hard on that survey, it was hard work, especially statistics, took psychology statistics two semesters ago. It was probably the only time I wanted to shoot myself, I still cringe everytime I hear stuff like "chi square" or "pearson correlation"...

So basically thanks for the hard work
