It depends if Bioware wants to play this like they're mature adults who are saving the universe or Mass Effect: ZOMG Drama!
I'm expecting the latter. As you say it's more dramatic and will be more enticing for the average gamer.

So, I'm definitely in the ash lover camp, but after having played ME2 several times, Miranda is by far my favourite new squadmate.
Her character backstory is fascinating, and her romance plotline is also quite touching (for my single sheps, of course - main sheppie stayed true to Ash).
I only wish there was more friendship dialogue with her - it's such a shame that her conversation options shut down once you deny the romance path.
So - yay for Miranda. If I can have an Ash/Liara/Miranda squad in ME3, I'll be a happy customer
There's plenty of Ashley fans around here, too. (Myself included.) Leaving Ashley for Miranda was a very, very tough decision for me....I am going to have a 'faithful' playthrough, though.
And it's too bad that a lot of LI characters seem to be lacking in 'friendship' dialogue, hopefully it's a problem they can address in ME3.

Women are not like men dude...They don't let things go, if you ever watched a Jerry Springer SHow episode then you will know, getting women from killing each other is difficult. Men on the other hand will have a punch up and then go drink a beer afterwards.Ieldra2 wrote...
No catfight. My Shepard will not be fought over like a trophy. He knows what he wants, and if there's a fight, he'll break it up or take sides.AccursedOdin wrote...
I think I speak for every male with a heartbeat when I say a catfight would be the way to go. And to put my two cents on into the Miri vs. Ash fight, I honestly think it would be a good fight if it was in tradtional catifght format.(No biotics is what I'm saying) Miranda may be stronger due to her genetics, but I get a feeling that Ash's rage and her 'give'em hell attitude' might make up for it.
If you want to break up that fight you might need Grunt, Garrus and maby even get Tali to take of her mask to stop the fight....LOL

Please, no drama, Bioware. My Shepard already has the weight of saving the galaxy on his shoulders. Lady drama is the last thing he needs.ComTrav wrote...
A confrontation scene a la is more dramatic, but a scene where you approach each individually and explain things could work, too.
It'd be probably easier to explain things to Ashley in private. And even if Shepard's planning on staying with Miranda, he still cares for (or at least respects) Ashley to let her know that he's moved on in a respectful way. (Too bad he can't write email...)

That should be addressed by the dev's. I was busy looking at my options (LI wise in ME2) and I found that with all the LI's you either romance them or they don't have time for you.ComTrav wrote...

Come on Bioware, add some friendship dialogue for possible LI's....

Thanks for your support Midnight Reyn.Pretty much all of us here agree about the backstory part;I was going to stay loyal to Ash on my main shep but after Horizon she just kinda ticked me off so I went with MIrandaMidnight Reyn wrote...

Basically, she says she's not perfect, she's human, she makes mistakes, and (This is the big part) her mistakes tend to be huge when she makes them. Me, I'm thinking that's exactly what happened to Shepard throughout all of ME 1 as the first human Spectre. All of their qualities are very related from the get-go.

My current wallpaper at the moment. (For bigger resolutions, just go to the website in the link, I wanted to spare the small monitored people a 1680X1050 monster.)
It reminds me of Miranda lounging in her chair during her first post loyalty mission conversation.
Except for the wide smile, of course.

I love the subtle hand holding/stroking and how it builds up from there. It sort of reminds me of the Miranda/Shep love scene. They start out with the tummy hug and nuzzling and build from there. Can't say I would be opposed to more scenes like that in ME3.

Thanks for the support LuxDragon.I agree about her being equals with shep, that's one of the reasons why I pursued her,she seemed more on shep's level then any other LI,imo.LuxDragon wrote...
What got me into Miranda was the first conversation you get on the Normandy. When you ask her about her genetic modifications and then question if she's perfect, her reply really got me very interested in her.

Kind of OT, but I just finished season 2 of Chuck and this is by far my favorite scene ever(if for no other reason than *spoilers* Chuck and Sarah finally get together... kind of):

My personal feeling is that it's sort of important that Miranda makes a stand on principle, here. Her loyalty mission is about showing that she's capable of compassion for someone other then herself, and the Collector Base decision is about showing she cares about more then just her sister.
Maybe she had a back-up plan in case things went south with Cerberus. Maybe she considered that having saved Oriana from her father, she could just do it again from TiM. Maybe it's a decision she'll regret.
So hopefully we'll see in DLC or ME3.

It probably won't be mentioned again, though - or at worst it will be used as a plotdevice to take Miranda out of ME3. 'Oh - Miranda isn't a returning squadmate in the finale - she's off taking care of plans to relocate her sister. But you know, you get this really cool vidmail from her. It's a real treat!'
