EDIT: With luck the "routine maintenance" means the complete removal of the Tali thread for the sake of the health and wellbeing of the entire forum.  4 hours is probably the length of time it would take to remove everything from it...

I'm actually torn between carrying on with my "no Miri romance" Solider playthrough to build that character up or carry on with my New Game+ Adept playthrough, romancing Miri all the way.



Half the reason for playing the Soldier is to get the pieces I want for the armour and get to the Collector's ship for the Revenant. That and to get him to Level 30 so I don't have to continue with that heresy until ME3.

No, not really

Like I said, the only reason I have to continue with the Soldier is to finish it so I don't have to worry ever again.  At least not until ME3.  I suppose I could start a new game as one of the other biotic classes.  Any recommendations, or is Adept your recommendation?

I would definitely go for Adept, with Slam as your special ability. If you use pull, then slam on an enemy it's great fun.

Ah, at the moment my special ability is Warp Ammo. Thought it'd be more generically useful.

Armour-wise I'm using the following combo in black with Pattern 2 in orange/gold. Basically squad Loyalty colours:

Chestplate: Shield Harness
Shoulders: Amplifier Pads
Arms: Heavy Damping Gauntlets
Legs: N7 Greaves

Shields/Barriers +13%
Power damage +5%

On the subject of Warp Ammo it is pretty passive, just kinda shoved it on there for extra help dealing with armour and barriers. Though with the actual Warp power it seems like it might be kind of a waste.

Adepts have shockwave too, I never put it up past rank 2 considering the other biotic powers are a lot better IMO.

I'm liking the idea of black/gold armour. I haven't tried that combo yet. That's something for me to do for the 4 hours we're offline...and watch 24.

The colour and material combination I used was:

Material: 5 (far right)
Tint 1: black (far right)
Tint 2: default (far left)
Pattern: 2 (middle)
Pattern Color: 8, orange/gold, just before yellow near middle of slider

No problem.  It may not be to everyones tastes, it's taking me a while to get used to it over the N7 default colours, but it seems to fit with the rest of the squad once they're all loyal.

Has anyone seen the thread about blowing up Tali on Freedom's Progress? Saw the video and it was hilarious, but I can't for the life of me find it now.

EDIT:  I looked at the announcement and it doesn't seem like the boards are going down, just certain functions will be offline.

Although I think I know the answer from THIS group: Do you think using Yvonne as a facial scan for Miranda was a 'net positive' for the character's appeal?

(Is anyone going to go devil's advocate here, to try to make this interesting? It's not like all our screencaps of Miranda's different expressions could fill a decent-sized thread on their own...)
