Kudos to everyone for not letting this thread degenerate into another hatefest.

I really like Miranda also. I am having a hard time not taking her in my party all the time the second time around (I want diversion for different responses etc.). I didn't think her loyalty quest was one of the best though unfortunately.
Lots more that can be done with her father in the next game though

JobacNoor-We try to keep it positive here. (Thread Paragon +5.)
Nildar-Yeah, I like to vary my squad each playthrough. They did a good job in ME2 with the loyalty missions, forcing you to mix it up a lot. Garrus is almost as good as Miranda for defense-busting (Concussive Shot is strong vs. biotic barrier, according to one of the loading tips), but her class ability is tough to beat. And there's lots that can be done with her father (and her sister) in ME3, though it might be something they tackle in DLC. (I keep hearing Bioware wants more DLC to bridge ME2 to ME3, and I think wrapping up some of the loose ends from the Cerberus arc is what they'll focus on, so ME3 can be all Reapers, all the time.)

Miranda for president! No? er.. well then at least give her a big part in ME3!
I thought I'd stay faithful to Ashley in the beginning... but after hearing Yvonne Strahotski was VA'ing Miranda, Ash never stood a chance! Chuck is my all time favorite show and I was pleasantly surprised with the depth of her character. Plus, her powers totally saved my butt numerous times

She is a really good character. Goes from ***** to really vulnerable and real. Great to break down her walls.

I am not a Miranda fan however, her character turned out to be much better then the ads before release made her out to be, she was much closer to the middle of my like order then the tail end where I thought she would end up.

She definitely goes through a change throughout ME2, she comes to accept that "getting the job done no matter the cost" isn't always true. She still believes in it, she just isn't a fanatic about it anymore. Nor does she put blind faith in TIM or Cerberus, she comes to realize that though Shepard is a great asset to Cerberus he's also a human being. So when TIM tells her to stop/replace him she sees herself in Shepard and finally admits that though the two treated her differently she was as much a tool for TIM and Cerberus as she was for her father.
End result?
A woman who has opened her eyes/refuses to be used, taken value in herself, but still believes in going the distance to achieve your goals - just not to the extent TIM believes.
I am curious though as to her opinion on other aliens? Ashley, Kaidan, and Liara made their points abundantly clear on that issue while ME2 LI's focused more on their thoughts on the mission. The best insight we got about her feelings towards aliens was how she envied Mordin's time in the Special Tasks Group.
She's willing to do what it takes for humanity's interests, but what the other races?

I like Miranda. She knows what she wants and how to get it. Some borderline livejournal whining about being genetically engineered to be foxy and smart but not that bad.

I was making some sig banners for Garrus, and thought I'd do some Miranda ones too if any of you guys wants to use 'em:

First I thought Miranda would be nothing more than blatant fanservice. With her looks and costume she seemed more fit for an seedy Omega bar than a Black-ops organisation.
I was pleasantly suprised, after the loyalty mission, that there was actually a person underneath that all. She was more than Paris Hilton in space.

I liked that BW gave her an actual reason why she looked that good (well most people thought she looked good). Then they turned that reason into a double edged sword and turned her into a character that the fans could relate to.

i never disliked her, but on the likability ladder, she's near the bottom, only because her peers are more compelling, not that she is less compelling

Miranda is my favourite character, she has to come back for ME3.

Miranda is definitely one of my favourite characters from ME2. I went into the game liking her though, but because of how she looked (sex appeal) and knowing her VO actor was Yvonne Strahovski. I was pleasantly surprised by how her character was written and I felt her loyalty mission was especially well done.

Whoa! Lots of posts!
Great work on the banners Aris! I was kind of hoping someone would make something like that.
Also, she does sorta look like a bunny... In a cute, adorable kind of way, that is.
But anyways, a little tangental, but something I was thinking would be cool in ME 3 is since we know biotics often carry a static charge, I think it would be neat if when Shepard leans in to kiss his biotic LI, he/she gets a shock.

I know! I've been hoping to see more Miranda support since the game was released and I take 1 day off from the forums and miss all the fun! It's great to see though.
