Anyone ever wonder what Jacob meant when he said something like this after his sidequest?



“No, she’s got a good memory. Selective, but good.” (?)



Then he says, “Haven’t thought about those days in a long time. Can’t figure out which promise she meant, though. Not sure I really want to know.”



Then he says she requires a better man than him and everything.



I wonder what all she promised him, if she made more than one promise, and why he seems to think her memory is selective? What’s she being selective about?



It’s almost like he was saying, “I’m kind of amazed that this is what she remembers, out of everything that happened…”

Toshi, 1st or 2nd squadmate?

I want to have this and am wondering if it is a specific one. From watching some videos I had come with the assumption it is the 2nd squadmate that always goes but during my last playthrough, I had my first squadmate do the fall but then my 2nd squadmate helped shep up even though both lived.

I want to have Jack Shepherd whom is LI Miri to be grabbing her, then her him, the latter shouldn't be hard on that side of things as the other squadmate will be dead (a non loyal Jack hehehe), although there will be 2-3 others that will make it out alive as well (Jacob, Zaeed and Kasumi)

I selected her first and she was the one to fall and the one to help me up. I had disloyal Zaeed with me though, so she was the only one there to pull me up anyways.

I was referring to being able to scroll down when going through menus or reading text, like in the codex. But most of the controls aren't bad, its just a bit of an annoyance not having weapons hot keys or the journal shortcut key, like you said.

I love playing my Renegade Shepard as an intergalactic Jack Bauer- whenever you go to the council and they deny the Reapers, it reminds me so much of 24- you've got a guy who has single handedly saved the universe/world many times over, but nobody listens to him. I just want to scream at the Turian counselor "We are running out of time, DAMMIT!"

Ahh, yeah shame it don't work there. As for renegade shep, yup my Jack Shepherd is Jack Bauer DAMMIT!

@ Nightwriter: The Jacob/Miranda relationship is interesting, and even here there's lots of different opinions. Jacob's "selective but good" line seems to say, "I'm glad she did this, but there's lots of other things I wish she would've done, too." The fact Miranda does it at all is sort of like a "sorry we didn't connect, but I still care enough about you as a friend and person to think you should have resolution with your father."



Jacob's "better man then me" implies he really has some major confidence issues...part of why I'm tempted to see if his romance explores that.

Say, has anyone ever tried going through the entire game so it ends up where only you and Miri survive the Suicide mission? (where she alone would pull you up)

Think I might try another playthrough and try to deliberately get most of my squad killed just to finish the game with only us two surviving in the end. (If it's even possible, that is...)

I can see this happening: The Reaper Assault has just begun and the first world to come under attack is the Turian homeworld.

Counciler: Shepard help! Our homeworld is under attack by the Reapers!

Shepard: Ah yes, Reapers. Sorry counciler, I can't fight something that doesn't exist.

Miranda: Shepard, cleared the engine room, be there in 5 minutes?

Shepard: Oh most definitely, see you there haha. Oh uh, goodbye counciler.

I'm not a Spectre.

I'm not saying I'd shoot them myself or anything, but if my Shepard were given the choice from the end of ME1 again, he'd choose differently.

That has to be one of Shepard's most pervy lines in the game- he sounds so sketchy. And why doesn't anyone comment on his scars when he goes all renegade? I mean sure you're the God Damn Shepard, savior of the universe, but sheesh, get some ointment or something on those gashes.

I used a front facial shot and a slightly angled shot of Kiefer Sutherland to try and get the best dammit look I could get. I don't think it is totally accurate but considering the limits of the creator tool I like to think it was pretty good.
