Not entirely true, Alistair was awesome.

I always think of my DAO playthrough as a buddy comedy between Alistair and Aggronor Aeducan (complete with my well-meaning attempts to set Alistair up with Anora!)

But in the "Bioware romance" where the player character is unable to share or express any doubts, vulnerabilities, or any 'inner self', it's all on one partner doing so to create any sense of emotional intimacy.

Agree 100%. Alistair was a great buddy for my human noble, he was genuinely funny too, brilliantly voiced. We had a true "bromance" if you will.

So true, Kaiden gets Virmired every time I play and most of my friends are the same.

Ha ha, it's really up to you mate. That sounds like a LOT of work for something that would be more of an inside joke here. Would you not prefer to do her (so to speak) in her normal gear? Or would that actually be more difficult?

Nice guys in real life are, well, nice. Nice guys in stories are boring. Apart from that, Kaidan does have some fire, as his story shows, it just didn't come across, and his emotional distance came across as awkwardness, which didn't help.

He didn't deserve to come out last in the big poll, though. Can't imagine how people can find Jacob more interesting.

I'm glad I play both genders in games. At least there's Miranda for maleSheps.

Well...man.

Maybe Bioware found the solution with Alistair, he was far more sensitive and touchy feely than Kaidan but his being funny seems to be the way to go.  If a man is nice he needs to be funny, being unfunny is a luxury only bad boys can afford.

Oh yeah, noticed that in one of the pics yesterday. That is one thing that is very good about the black outfit.

Yeah, seriously, it's up to you. I'd love to see it, and I suspect everyone on the thread and in Miranda's growing fan community would, but it does sound like it'd be a lot of time and effort.

I dunno. It's just some white light in the game makes her outfit look like semi-transparent latex or something. It is most obvious around her stomach, though, and I think the belly button has a lot to do with it. She must get cold in that outfit if it's that thin.

No need. It's the lighting and the glossy surface, combined with - I guess - laziness on the modelers' part because they probably adapted a body mesh for the clothing without making up for the fact you don't really see belly buttons and similar things through leather clothing. So the result: there's a hollow where the belly button is, which at a certain lighting creates the impression you can see through the leather - because otherwise, you wouldn't see anything at all. The same with other body parts. Look at it at certain angles and you notice it's not transparent.

Yeah, I'm loving these high-res shots. Her face textures have so much details. It's a shame her outfit (particularly the choker) aren't of as high a quality.

EDIT: Really makes me want to get this game for PC so I can see it in HQ as opposed to on my SDTV.
