You all probably already mentioned this but far to many pages to go through to make sure but at least in my opinion Miranda is also the most needed team member overall in higher difficulties since she can damage shields, damage armor, boost health/damage. So pretty much whatever you need she can do and also slam looks pretty awesome. She also has the hidden skill of great eye candy. " You go ahead and scout out ahead Miri and I will watch your backside.....I mean watch your back in case of trouble"
Lower difficulty I have whoever I want at the time but higher difficulty I have miranda and someone else.
Yeah, on my first playthrough as Adept on Veteran I was like, "Well, I need someone who can take down shields...and a second biotic for the nifty combos...and ideally uses the same weapons as I have because I'll be upgrading those the most...hmm...and you add to squad health and damage? Tough to pass up." I have more attachment for characters I use more, I don't think I'm the only one. Ended up maxing her health squad bonus and using Grunt and her as my main team. ("I died here last time. This time, I'll send Grunt first.")
One of the devs said that they'll be tracking the amount of time squadmates will be played, and will be factoring that in to ME3. Miranda's definitely out ahead, there. (Though I'm sure it's only one of many factors, they'll account for things like Legion only showing up late in the game.)
