Not to mention Garrus is my favourite male squadmate from both games; my Shepard's friend and, in ME, protégé. Miri just happens to be my favourite female squadmate from either game. She's the most well rounded and IMO best performed of the all of them.

I wanted to thank Ieldra2 for his very thoughtful C&C of my fic. Chapter 3 is coming along nicely though I'm trying to get a better lock on the dialogue between TIM and Shepard.

I wanted to post a quick preview between Miranda/Shepard before heading off to class.

Evidently, Miranda still picked up on his feelings if her sigh was any indication. “We don’t want to be your enemy, Commander. We simply don’t know how you may react to our organization given your history. Before your death and now.”

Her gaze hardened. “If you want a personal meeting with the Illusive Man, I assure you, it would be much more unpleasant for you, likely involving the use of drugs, shackles, and many armed soldiers pointing weapons at you.” She took step closer, her eyes mimicking ice. “If you had any thought of doing any harm to the Illusive Man, two years or no, I would kill you myself.”

I am using Garrus a lot with my Infiltrator. Will add Thane or Legion later for an all-Sniper team. If I can resist Miranda. After spending so much time on this thread, I sit down in front of the game and it feels stupid to not put her in. She's definitely going in for Zaeed's mission, as sexy as Mordin looked by the waterfall last time.

I'm in a similar predicament with my Soldier stay loyal to Ash playthrough.  I've spent all afternoon playing it fine.  Then as soon as I have a conversation with Miri I just melt and have to go to my Adept game so I can romance her.  It's not fair damn it!

Indeed. As a rule I prefer female characters in RPGs - no idea why, even in PnP half of my characters are women, so it can't be the usual reason one suspects. In ME1 I had four femSheps and one maleShep. But for ME2, I guess I'll have to make two more maleSheps and play them through ME1 again (groan - being a perfectionist is hard at times). I can only hope that I can resist Miranda so I can try Tali's romance. In one I'll have to stay faithful with Ashley....

I found it funny that the list of all character threads dug up my old Mordin thread....



But lots of ways to support a character. Sometimes post in thread, sometimes change avatar. Both can be effective.



(Yeah, I mean all you guys with Shepard avatars. I completely agree with you. If Shepard's not in ME3, I'm not buying the game.)

It's funny, ME1 is probably the only RPG I can think of where I played a human male. I even gave Shepard my first name. In other games it's either female, or dwarf/orc or whatever.

I like Tali from the first game, Jack's romance looks interesting, and I need a "faithful" playthrough. I was hoping to stay faithful on my first playthrough and I was like, "Well, I can see Miranda's romance later."

...we all know how this turned out. (And yet, it took me all of a couple minutes to decide to cure the Krogan genophage.)

I know what you mean. I played ME1 a ridiculous amount of times (19 if you must know) just so I could have every potential scenario play out in ME3. I actually have 11 unique Shepard's to take through ME2, the only problem is I've succumbed to Miranda on two playthroughs that I wasn't supposed to have done. So I will probably miss certain "cheat scenes" in ME3 because of Miranda...it was worth it though. I'm certainly not going theough ME1, I played it 5 more times in January, lol.

So, assuming you've romanced Miranda as a paragon and continue it into ME3: what are people expecting of her? I mean, she balked at keeping the Collector base, and - if you destroyed it - she sided with Shep over the Illusive Man... but she's still a woman who not only expressed no regret over Cerberus' actions in ME1 but was an active apologist.



Just curious to hear what other people think about that. As much as I like Miranda, I keep thinking about Admiral Kahoku... and all those experiments that "crossed the line" that she seemed to have no problem with whatsoever.
