When I first started to play the game, I wasn't sure how I felt about Miranda. My views of her even started to verge upon dislike. I was more attracted to Jack at that time being as she seemed to suit the Shepard I was role-playing much better.

That Shepard being a multi layered renegade Adept. One who, in truth, was out for power, without being in the spotlight. Someone who was very knowledgeable, had many allies and great influence, not to mention strong combat wise. Would I step over others if I felt they had something that I, those close to me desired or which served a cause for something I deemed worthy (ie stopping the reapers)? Yes, most certainly. However, I stood up for the innocent, never would I kill without justification, I had a good sense of morality and upheld the law where it didn't conflict with what is stated above. Valued life, holding all species as equal and so on.

After a time I began to see why Jack was perhaps not quite the right fit. She was rash, acting on emotions in the spur of the moment, without considering the best possible outcome for the situation or taking into account future ramifications. I could see her either going two ways: To have her hard exterior broken down and doing a character flip to becoming more "paragon". Or that she would still remain largely the same (with the exception of being emotionally attached to my Shepard). Either way I could never fully rely on her to be of a like mind as myself.

If was after I began having these thoughts that I gravitated towards Miranda. She was of a relatively calm and collected disposition. A strong and mature woman who, while she did have some issues about her upbringing as such and the views that she was a tool to be used, didn't overly let this get to her nor affect who she really is. She could walk the morally grey path without turning into a senseless killer, nor let emotions overcome her when she had to do things that were deemed necessary. Not that I am a fan of the "Do whatever it takes" mentality. Someone who would reciprocate the trust and love that I would bestow upon her. The kicker was that she is an awesome addition to any combat squad, an attractive woman to-boot and with an accent I loved to listen to, being an Australian myself.

So in summing up Miranda was indeed a nice surprise. And I hope that Liara is happy for the both of us....

My Shepard can't make those kinds of promises.

I LOVE Miranda in every way. she is the one character that didn't wine ALL of the time (she did wine a lot but still, not as much as others) She's the total opposite of Tali and that I totally support.

Ashley in ME1 was Imo a pain in my "asset" I Like Miranda because she is not an awesome dude with girl parts (Jack) or a super fragile "take care of me cus I can't" (tali). I guess that my point is that she had the right amount of "girlballs".

that was a nice touch. but i couldn't help thinking about Team America during that line

I love Miranda too.



My first playthrough, me and all my friends agreed, She was a ****. (Id even go as far as to say a Cerberus ****. I hated how she treated Jack.

My second playthrough I romanced her and actually found a lot to like.

I kind of gave up on Jack being salvageable, and therein lay my salvation for Miranda.



Not a bad character at all,Actually a damned good one, And I look forward to having her as my LI in ME3 #Playthrough 2.

I thought Bioware made her like that at the beginning on purpose. They tend to make their characters very multilayered.
