I've been wondering if in ME3 if they'll make you make a decision over the life of your LI or an important figure. Such as Reapers attack the Citadel, and you have to choose to save Anderson or your LI.

Anderson can go. He doesn't sound happy anyways at the Presidium when you go see him.

"Early retirement"

:lol::lol:

Then you could put Miranda as the council person haha. Then the Council would bee more keen to listen to humans.

I could see that as a result from a certain set of choices, but I don't think it should be a Virmire choice in every playthrough. That would be rather limited and disappointing. Although I would prefer the Virmire choice than "LI or the galaxy"... the galaxy will never be saved with my Shepards.

I found it better than just deiciding to hook up right there. At least it was fleshed out a little, and you got to know the character in a way. Still to each their own.

Yeah just think... Miranda's had TWO YEARS to check out his body. She knows EXACTLY what she'll do to it :lol:

32 pages... huh

I don't know if I should try to reply to all the topics that have been discussed or if I should let it go.

I'll let it go. Need to use what little free time I have to play.

... but in one of the first dialogues she says if it were up to her, she'd have installed some kind of a control chip in Shepard's brain. Can't really think of any turn-off bigger than this.

Funny, that remark only made me think "I'm so gonna enjoy when you change your mind about me. Just give me some time." She's not the kind of person who trusts someone easily, and that's something I like since I'm the same way.

By the way Aris, thanks for the banners. They're great.

And now, I'm going to play a bit.

I know she may quit if she's loyal to Shepard in the end. It does not erase her past in a magical way. She's quick to write off all Cerberus atrocities as mistakes, errors in judgement or by saying she had no personal involvement in these matters. That's only one notch better as saying "I was just following orders". She trivialized using husks, Thorian creepers and rachni in experiments, each time finding an easy excuse. A simple "I tender my resignation" is not enough by far. She had intellect and connections extensive enough to find out what Cerberus was doing and question her allegiance a long time ago. She did not. Even if she denounces Cerberus at the end, I wouldn't want her in my team; she's smart enough to do whatever she wants, just please do it on the other side of the Galaxy.

I hope that in ME3 there is a way to expose the Illusive Man and Cerberus and bring them to justice.

Working for the greater good does not excuse commiting evil deeds. "It wouldn't be called the high road if it was easy."

And yes, while she is generally a shallow character, she is well written in the sense that she provokes feelings, whether it's love or hate.

Still, I wouldn't like to pollute this thread with my negative feelings toward Miranda; it was the opening post that provoked such a strong urge to respond.

To sum up, a well-written character, if shallow. VA superb, as is the case with all the other characters.

I respect your stance Culwuch. Thanks for sharing it, and not just bashing.

She actually makes a few points that when she felt that crossing the line was necessary in some situations, but that even she had limits to what was acceptable. She didn't like the biotic facility that Jack was raised in, she noted that the she wasn't entirely comfortable with her own genetic engineering, and there are hints that she isn't comfortable with much of the testing.

She is a bit more renegade in her philosophy, but she is good for the most part.

It's nice to hear what you think. I can't say I agree, but I can see where you're coming from and it's cool to be able to see her from another's point of view.

"At Home in the World is the story of a young woman, raised in some difficult circumstances, and how she survives. It tells a story of redemption, not victimhood."

This sort of seems like a good quote for Miranda.

Miranda doesn't have to say anything special. I could feel it in her voice during our conversations. She had plenty of emotion. It's just that she's not overly emotional like a teenager, she's a mature woman who's in control (mostly) and every emotion is transmited in a subtle way. That's why I like her so much.

As for her knowing Shepard, she spent 2 years completely dedicated to studying and resurrecting him. After spending some time on the Normandy with him, she's probably the character who knows him best.

I didn't find the romance boring because it felt like a romance between two people who understood each other on a deeper level, without the need for any sort of exposition. The flirtacious and witty banter between them demonstrates this.

Thats how I feel, Jack and Tali are girls, they act like highschool girls. Tali more preppy and cute, and Jack more damaged and frail. Miranda is a woman. She is a grown up. Thats why I like her. Some may think thats boring but thats all down to personal preference.

I am trying to work my way through a second playthrough, and stay loyal to Ash. Sadly I can't see it working haha.
