Unless you guys and gals haven't had enough...

Haha, we have for now. ;)

I do believe the 30 odd pages should hold some people over while you go rest.

Am I the only one that found Mark Meer's delivery of the flirty dialogue a bit creepy?

Which lines did you find creepy?

It wasn't the lines so much as the way Mark said them like the "Oh, I'm definitely interested!"  It felt too stiff.

Wow. Thanks for your replies!

I still loved Miranda's romance, and even though I would've preferred some kind of conversation (maybe Shepard saying something that a hopeless romantic like me would love, like "You're beautiful to me for you and not what your father and the Illusive Man have made you") I felt that when Miranda said, "Promise me you won't die", it said a lot.

I was hoping for some more romantic dialogue/banter between them too, not just during the romance scene, but at any time. But good news: Bioware loves their fans so if we're vocal enough about it, maybe they'll agree and add that into ME3! *fingers crossed*

Like I mentioned before - the body language between the two spoke more about their relationship than any verbal words could.

You're both right, re: body language, and it's a well-staged scene...

BUT...in a game, you're drawn in more when there's an interactive element.

Would've liked at least ONE dialogue wheel afterwards.

But as I've said elsewhere, the whole big-night-before-the-last-battle thing doesn't work as well for me as the relationships in DAO, where you can romance a character relatively early, and even have a few follow-on conversations afterwards. Gives more of a feeling of relationship between the two characters.

Here's hoping ME3 will provide that level of continuity with your ME1/2 LI.

I think the LI stuff in ME2 was groundbreaking as far as videogames are concerned. YES there is still room for improvment but it's definitely a step in the right direction. I think the flirtiish stuff with Miranda was executed perfectly as far as physical movement and vocal intercation go and led up quite nicely to the ''engine room event'' with a nice pace. I for one loved the fact they didn't say a word during that scene. They already said everything they had to as far as flirting goes. They knew they wanted each other. They where heading on to a suicide mission. Perfectly executed I said. But that's my opinion...

No, even with all me and miranda have been through, shes a perfect bodied women with family an even more perfect and layered personality. AWESOME, still wish she could be killed more collector in the suicide mission, I mean she has proven how superior she is at comat, throughout the game, makes sens., I could've just left everyone else and had Shepherd and Miranda so all the work, this part has nothing to do with anything really I don't know why i even said it probably to busy basking in Miranda's glory.

Most of the ACTUAL romantic dialogue I thought was pretty good.
Exhibit A in my Voiced vs. Unvoiced Presentation in Games was:
"So I can't admire your body or mind?"
"Actually, I wouldn't mind if you'd admire my body a little bit more."

Which was much more powerful spoken then selected from a dialogue tree by a mute PC. (I even like the ME1 line..."Everyone has baggage, Ash, you just need to find someone with a pair that matches.")

On the other hand, "Oh, I'm definitely interested!" is pretty terrible. But that's partly because like, "I have to go", or "Show me your items", I heard it a lot.

Lucky for me - I never went with much of the flirty dialogue. Got a quick make out session - didn't make her the promise that I wouldn't die - and pretty much acted how I would've acted.

Also helped that I saved everytime before I talked to her - to review all the choices and pick the outcome I enjoyed the most. ;)

The make out scene was fantastic, by the way.

What make out scene? You mean the romance scene in the engine deck?

I'm sorry you don't like her. I think she's a great character, but obviously not everyone is going to see her that way. What do you think Bioware could have done to improve her?

Her uniform in battle, think walking around in high heels during heavy combat is very embarsing to have around... Embarasing, never thought that would pop up in a game, i think she should just stay on the ship, i originally thought she was gonna be allot more interesting from all the media before the game came out but was realy dissapointed in her character, i dont have a problem with the acting. Plus when i did have her on a mission with me, thier was always someone calling her a hor or , nice clothes hor, does cerberous let you walk around everywhere like that, Hor usualy comes up, realy, she couldnt have worn better armor into battle, Plus i have a hard time at the annoying cinematics with the camer showing off her bubble but being supported by tooth pic legs. Thats unfair to say, but im sick of all of her bum screen shots covering my camera, plus not everyone likes everyone, bioware does want us to hate and dislike some of the characters they make, which makes sence

@Nightwriter;

If you choose the renegade answer "Are you jealous?" during one of the conversations you have - it can lead to you making out with Miranda.

You know, you're basically right. At a detail-oriented, technical level, the flirtish stuff with Miranda was well done. And the physical interaction did add a lot (it occurs to me that in ME1 the flirtation with Ashley was the two of them standing around in the cargo bay.) Definitely a huge leap forward in bringing a cinematic style to gaming.

My gripe is more with a larger-scale, design-type decision. There should be something after the big engine room scene, or something like it. Ah, well, maybe in ME3.

I think you bring up some fair points. I thought it was pretty unrealistic that Miranda and Samara fought in high heels. But it didn't really bother me and I actually preferred the aesthetic quality over an alternative. If Miranda had worn full armor it just wouldn't have felt the same. But again, my opinion. I also think Jack's outfit was far more ridiculous than anyone else's, but it didn't bother me. I know a lot of people had issues with those things though and I can totally understand why.

As far as the butt camera angles go, I just kinda laughed at them. They were obviously to show off the hard work Bioware put into making her the "perfect woman". And an obvious marketing strategy. Again, didn't bother me, but understandable.

Thanks for taking the time to tell us your opinion and what you didn't like about her instead of just bashing her. We like to know what other people think of her, especially when they don't agree. It's nice to see her from other people's point of view.

lol I liked the high heels on Miranda it gave her a much more ''femme fatale'' look. +1 for Miranda as far as i'm concerned. Oh and I totally agree with you on the ass thing...I mean it DID look good but it had so much attention it was almost over the top.

Well, at the very least we can be sure the devs had a blast creating her... But yeah, to be serious, her assets were a bit much at times.

EDIT: This thread is in constant motion...it's kind of insane.
