I picked the renegade choice where I didn't really side with either. Looking back I should've just choosen Miranda side, b/c jack was worthless...

I used my uber badass Paragon charisma to diffuse the situation. It was still a bit cold between the two of them but they decided to wait after the mission was over to tear each others head off.

lol. Yeah, I did the same thing. I kind of wish I had chosen Miranda just to see what would happen. Then again, I didn't need anymore drama from Jack.

Paragon'd my way out of this.
Less satisfying then the Tali/Legion confrontation....couldn't explain to Miranda and Jack how much they have in common, in a strange way.

I hadn't thought of that. They have a lot in common, but there's never an option to try and settle their differences by showing them how alike they are. That could have been interesting if implemented right.

What are with the comments that Jacob and Miranda had a thing? I never played Mass Effect Galaxy, but I heard they only had drinks together or something like that. I can't imagine Miranda would ever feel anything for him.
Jacob kind of hints at it in the game, but says it's 100% over, nothing between them at all. GOOD, because she's mine! Lest he wants to get tossed out the nearest airlock.

Lol. Exactly. When Jacob made that comment about how she "requires a better man than I" I was like YES. That's right. And my Shep is exactly that man!

She's smart, sweet, loving, caring, independent, and isn't afraid to think on her own or disagree with Shepard if necessary. It's like the perfect couple hehe. And I love that she really cares for him but it's hard for her to show it at first, until Shepard shows her that he loves her.

1. Put the ship into FTL speed, in transit.
2. Give Jacob a fighting chance but eventually beat him into unconsciousness.
3. Shove him down the garbage disposal and hit "eject."
4. Comfort a very vulnerable Miranda.
Fortunately, Bioware wisely sidestepped that one and gave Jacob enough sense to not get in Shepard's way.

I remember the threads that talked about what would happen if Jacob got in the way of a Shepard/Miranda romance in ME2. My favorite was:
1. Put the ship into FTL speed, in transit.
2. Give Jacob a fighting chance but eventually beat him into unconsciousness.
3. Shove him down the garbage disposal and hit "eject."
4. Comfort a very vulnerable Miranda.

Well, as Shepard says: "You see my gun. Do you really want to do this?"

You know to be honest, I feel like Shepard's character truly is the only man worthy of Miranda and vice versa. I just got this vibe that their both made for each other. Shepard is this huge package of...hero+manly+brave+courageous, and whole bunch of other noble qualities, and Miranda is the completion to that package.

I agree 100 percent with this. She just seems to be that piece for Shepard as the game goes on.

If would've been funny if Jacob tried to make a pass at Miranda... I could point and laugh, as he ran back to the armory knowing he never stood a chance...
I would hope Joker would have made a comment if that ever happend.
"Hey Commander you see Jacob? Never thought I'd see a Ceberus goon cry. Then again it is Miranda...."

First time, I sided with Jack but Paragon charmed Miranda afterwards. Kept her loyalty.
Second time, I picked the Paragon charm option during the fight and kept their loyalty.

God, I'm getting sick of being so agreeable, but I'm going to say it once again... I couldn't agree with you more.
With Jack, it felt like Shepard was fixing her and that all of his effort would be put into that with little return. Not to mention she's unpredictable and reckless and I could totally see her abandoning Shepard the first time things got too rough. But Miranda is solid and dependable. She's willing to give up everything she knows just to stick by you. I think it takes a lot of character to do something like that. Especially after everything she's been through in life.
With Tali, I felt like she just agreed with everything Shepard said. There was no fire, no passion. I think the only issue Tali and Shepard have ever disagreed on was the Geth. And she even let that go by not saying a word about Legion until he took top secret information.
I don't know about anyone else, but I don't want to be with someone who never debates or argues or disagrees with me. A lover should make you question yourself, bring new things and perspectives to light, hold you accountable, among a thousand other things that you can't get from someone who agrees with everything you say and do. And I feel like Miranda fits that perfectly.

Lol, it's ok, agreeing is a good feeling though!
But yes, I definitely feel the exact same way. To be honest, I was still a little shocked when Miranda resigned at the end...I know she was trusting Shepard more and more by the minute, but wow, I didn't know she had put that much faith in him, and that made me go "Wow!" She was already my favorite by that time, but once that happened, she couldn't do anything else that would've made me like her even more! lol
I agree with you about Tali though. Nothing against her character, but I didn't feel anything with the romance. I have a fiancee and we've been together for about 6 years, and let me tell you, she actually did used to agree with me on EVERYTHING at first. I couldn't take it anymore. Finally she realized that she has her own character and own thoughts and views on things. That's how I see Tali. She'll do anything for Shepard, no matter what.
I liked being worthy of Miranda...basically lol.
