Any scenes or dialogue option you wish you could have had? I would have liked the opportunity to have Miranda confronted with the horrors Cerberus has unleashed, particularly if you were playing a Sole Survivor. You get a little of this if you bring her on Jack's mission, but not as much as I would have liked. Also, the sap in me wants the chance to say "I promised you I wouldn't die" at the end.

I know there are a lot more Miranda fans out there - but there is only about 10-15 of us that frequent this thread (Meg, Shinobi, Vince, Me, etc) who constantly appear in this thread and show their support for a very well written character.
Now, I understand this is a "looove" thread - and I will return to loving this amazing woman after I give a couple of observations that I've made.
For those few of us who love Miranda, one of the main things we managed to do is look past the stereotype that many branded on the woman before the game was even released.
She was a genetically modified woman who was intended to be "perfect" - off the bat, that sent off a lot of wrong signals to many gamers. Perfect woman? Well, looking at past games who went with that model - the character was very poorly written and only used to be eye candy.
She's an ice queen. Okay, pair that with a "perfect" woman thing and you'll have people jumping to conclusions about it being cliched.
I think many of the Miranda haters out there either completely avoided Miranda, didn't pay attention to the verbal tones and body language that changed over the course of the game, or who were so against her in the first place that they refused to give her a chance - as the reason why there are so few of us compared to the other LIs.
Most of the people in this thread however - understood that - and moved past it.
We realized that even she reconigzes that her body was paid for - and instead of shying away from it - she embraces it and uses it to her advantage. That, to me, was a sign of a woman who will use what she has readily availible to advance herself.
She is an ice queen for a reason, and her "perfect" body, is a main reason for it. Her focus is on the mission - pure and simple - and she will do whatever to get it done. She is a dedicated woman - and if she has to be an arse about it - so be it, as long as the mission gets accomplished.
I think another big turn off for a lot of people is the percieved stereotype of "Ice Queen Melting" - and it is an understandable reason, though I don't think it should be a drastic one. Most of the 'melting" that is done in video games is poorly written - where in this case, it's quite the opposite.

One thing I liked about Miranda was that she was an adult and she acted like it. A lot of Bioware romances squick me because of the power imbalance. Tali hero worships me and is barely out of her teens Jack is so damaged, I'm not sure she really can give meaningful consent. Miranda has issues, but I felt like her romance was a meeting of equals.
Ah, such a perceptive mind surely belongs amongst us enlightened ones.
Though your thoughts about her not returning in ME3 tell me you need a little indoctrination.....

I find it rather amusing that even though this is a game and she is just a fictional character, I can't let myself play with her emotions.

You spoke well though, Rathias. You know I agree. And maybe with this thread and the Miranda group we'll be able to show people who didn't give her a chance that there's more to her than what's on the surface. But if not, we'll still have fun conversing about a great character in a hate-free atmosphere with loads of really cool people.

One of the reasons I enjoy posting in this thread. All of the people in it are very respectable people, and we all get along. Plus we get to talk about one of the best characters in the game haha.

I just played her loyalty mission again. I just can't let her shoot Niket. Just like the first time, I have this overwhelming feeling she would regret it deeply.

Welcome to the world of a well-written character.

I did a renegade run... won't be doing that again. Too many are just being an ***hole and some of the others, like Miranda/Niket, just don't seem right. I let her shoot him in that playthrough and I felt like ****, especially when she was desperately trying to justify it to herself in the Normandy. You could tell she wasn't okay with it, but she just couldn't admit that it was wrong.

For me I can't do a playthrough as a renegade Shepard, because it is such a well done game that you actual feel like you made those decisions. And I can never see myself acting like a renegade Shepard, that just my opinion.
Don't worry I feel the same way. I can never choose the bad decisions, because I myself could never do that. Whenever an option came up to hit someone I always passed it up. Though I did kill the merc on Miranda's loyalty mission haha.

The "sour grapes" with Jacob seems to indicate that he wanted more but Miranda would not open up to him. So it was one of those more casual romances for the most part. I can imagine the relationship easily that way, a failed attempt at love.
