One of the things that I absolutely enjoy about this thread is how personal it is.

I know there are a lot more Miranda fans out there - but there is only about 10-15 of us that frequent this thread (Meg, Shinobi, Vince, Me, etc) who constantly appear in this thread and show their support for a very well written character.

Now, I understand this is a "looove" thread - and I will return to loving this amazing woman after I give a couple of observations that I've made.

For those few of us who love Miranda, one of the main things we managed to do is look past the stereotype that many branded on the woman before the game was even released.

She was a genetically modified woman who was intended to be "perfect" - off the bat, that sent off a lot of wrong signals to many gamers. Perfect woman? Well, looking at past games who went with that model - the character was very poorly written and only used to be eye candy.

She's an ice queen. Okay, pair that with a "perfect" woman thing and you'll have people jumping to conclusions about it being cliched.

I think many of the Miranda haters out there either completely avoided Miranda, didn't pay attention to the verbal tones and body language that changed over the course of the game, or who were so against her in the first place that they refused to give her a chance - as the reason why there are so few of us compared to the other LIs.

Most of the people in this thread however - understood that - and moved past it.

We realized that even she reconigzes that her body was paid for - and instead of shying away from it - she embraces it and uses it to her advantage. That, to me, was a sign of a woman who will use what she has readily availible to advance herself.

She is an ice queen for a reason, and her "perfect" body, is a main reason for it. Her focus is on the mission - pure and simple - and she will do whatever to get it done. She is a dedicated woman - and if she has to be an arse about it - so be it, as long as the mission gets accomplished.

I think another big turn off for a lot of people is the percieved stereotype of "Ice Queen Melting" - and it is an understandable reason, though I don't think it should be a drastic one. Most of the 'melting" that is done in video games is poorly written - where in this case, it's quite the opposite.

I agree with your points but abit sad you didn't mention me,I contribute to this thread tooPosted Image.

Don't worry JSkills, there are lots of people who contribute to the thread and I'm sure Rathias was doing his best to recognize as many as he could.

(But Rathias, man--the OP doesn't get an honorable mention? C'mon, man )

Yeah lol can't forget the OP.
Also COM,how's the pics coming for the first page?

Any of you guys watching chuck tonight?

Probably a dumb question, but if I started watching it tonight, exactly how lost would I be?

Also, does Strahovski remind anyone else of Sophia Myles, or is it just me?

After seeing one episode the whole plot is fairly clear, its a great show, glad it got renewed for a 3rd season!

In all honesty really not that much. Chuck has been a great show to jump on at any point.

Perhaps I'll watch it then. Although Children of Dune sounds good too. Maybe I'll record one and watch the other. That way I can have my cake and eat it too.

I think the game flows better as a Paragon, which is unfortunate because Meer sounds flat on a lot of the lines. The only Renegade act I really wanted to do was throw the merc at Dantius Towers out the window.

Assuming a Paragon ending, any thoughts on Miranda's post-trilogy career? I figure she would go into whatever the Alliance intelligence branch is called. She seems a natural at black ops and it's a nice alternative to serving under Shepard, which is ethically problematic if you're romancing her. It's one thing to sleep with your subordinate before going to certain death, and another to be in a long term relationship with them,

First... I like Meer better than Hale this game.

Second... too busy in bed make hot steamy love with Shepard for either to have a job.

I have a hard time with the whole celebrity worship thing, so sitting in front of my computer to watch all the back episodes just to look at one person is hard to justify for me (as pretty as that person may be), but If its fun I may go back just so I know what happened in the previous seasons. Guess I'll find out tonight.

Edit: Oh, unless its Steve McQueen, then I can justify pretty much anything.

Put up one picture, just to make sure it still works.

Will have more time to put up more Pics, banners, and such, later this evening.

And I agree with the above that Meer's voice acting is much improved from the first game, IMO.

While I am no fan of Miranda (not trying to troll, just noticed this post) Chuck is a badass show!

Bioware did the right thing by picking Yvonne Strahovski to play her!
