the console=$400 because I got it when it first came out
Hard drive=$100
wireless adapter=$100
plus I had to get it repaired=$100 because the warranty ran out
there is $700 right there, plus live is about $5 a month and I haven't included games or accessories such as extra controllers, headsets, and if you want a wireless controller they go through batteries like its nobodies business. Also, yes I am just here to cause arguments as I stated before, "I was actually hoping to start a fight between xbox and playstation, they're real fun."

Well bud I have PC PS3 and 360 so I could care less about people trying to "compensate" on the internet about why they feel the need to toot their horns about how they are awesome because of pieces of plastic and so forth.
I paid 400 at launch with my 1st 360 and it came with a HDD, so you got screwed, you also got ripped off on the wireless adapter, just because "you" spent money on whatever setup you have, doesnt mean it would cost everyone that much. Also I have 2 rechargeable battery packs and I dont have to switch for less than 2 days and that's usually if it's a weekend and I'm playing a whole hell of a lot. So maybe you need new charge packs or are you actually using AA's still?

2. I bought it at Walmart, so I didn't get screwed, that was the price.
3. Even if you take away the wireless adapter and use the ethernet cable its still over $600.
4. My "setup" isn't much more than the necessities, you can take a little off of that but not much.
5. I use rechargeable batteries, so I have no idea how much those charge packs cost, but just go ahead and add it up to the $700.

Lol it's funny how you say in another thread that you are on your 3rd 360 yet here you say it's launch 360 that has been repaired. You're not making much sense but good luck with this topic though I'm sure it will attract the attention you seem like you're dying for.. And btw I'm on my 3rd Elite out of 8 total 360 consoles since launch, and am on my 3rd PS3, made a mistake getting the PS3 launch system instead of waiting. But I'd never refer to my own property which is for gaming/media as being a sucky product, it does exactly what it says it does. If you expect it to wash your car and do your laundry well good luck.

2.I have no idea what you are talking about going from $400 to $600, I said not buying the wireless adapter takes off $100, going from $700 to $600.
3.I never said the battery packs cost $100, I just said I dont know what they cost, so add it to the total.
4.The first xbox broke and was under warranty, then the new one broke and I had to pay $100 to get it fixed, hence Im on my 3rd.
5.I have no idea what you mean saying your on your third elite out of 8 xboxes.
6. I'm not asking my 360 to do work around the house, Yes, it does do everything that it says it does, when it is working. As, you can see, the entire point of this thraed was that the 360 rarely works.

You paid waaay to much for that redring60 lol.
Anyway, the launch price is irrelevant now because that's not what they cost now, so the comparisson with PC pricing would be on what the current value is. My first PS3 cost me 200 usd only because I got it during a promotion period when it first hit the market. Other people paid 600 for the same thing! But the point is, how much is the current average:
I looked around and found this:

So yes, you are right, the 360 can go up to 600 bucks when including live and whatnot. Man that thing sucks. Yay for Sony fangirl here.
