I love that, when you aren't romancing anybody, he educately tells Shepard he's not interested. And I love Shepard's answer, thanking him for making it easier for him or something like that.
But it was amazing. Apparently, his skintone is attractive to turian standars =D. And not to mention the Krogan thing...
It's great that in Mass Effect 2 we get a glimpse of how living in such a mix of species would really be like. Most people tend to ignore it, maybe because they're disgusted at the though, and just rejoice with their all-female blue species and completely desexualize the rest. Hey, maybe they're aliens and ugly to you, but they still have lifes you know! xD

Mordin: Can't Have. (for real this time)

Mordin is easily, by far, the best character in Mass Effect that BioWare ever came up with. His appeal far surpasses the appeal of Tali, Garrus, and everyone else's favorite characters.
He needs to be a squadmember in the next game - I don't care how old he is, he just needs to be there.

He is by far my favorite character in the game. I love 99.9% of his comments, how he talks and everything. No one else but joker makes me laugh, and he is way funnier than joker.
If he can't be a squad mate in ME3, I still want him on my ship as the lead scientist so I can still talk to him. But a squad mate would be better of course.

Bringing Garrus and Mordin along together was brilliant, they're combat lines are hilarious together.
"Scoped and Dropped!"
"Headshot...Boom!"
"I love this rifle!"
"Close combat, problematic!"

"Inflammable! or Flammable! Nevermind!"
"Direct head trauma!"
Their lines are really funny though, i want them both to be spectres... the first salarian spectre lol.

Loved Mordin. Of all the moral dilemmas in the is game, the Genophage is one of the biggest grey areas. Like rewriting the Geth, there just doesn't seem to be one right answer.
I did not enjoy all the loyalty missions. I felt like Jacob's was really unnecessary . I really wish he could be the one crew member who was as stable and grounded as Shepard.
Shepard: "Got any problems we need to deal with Jacob."
Jacob: "Nope let's go kick some collector ass."

His witty one-liners are hilarious, agreed. But Mordin has a serious side, so here's the question:
Was anyone else compelled to agree with Mordin that renewing the genophage was a necessary evil? My character was a shiny paragon, and this option was renegade.
Yet he backed it with research. He took it seriously. And he continued to monitor the krogan population himself. That's responsibility few would have taken. It is impossible to tell him: "Screw calculations, I have that blue aura and I am always right. So let's just help krogan to bolster their numbers and then frolick together on the green pastures of Tuchanka". Paragon lines by Jen Hale felt flat.
I decided to keep the data for the cure after I've been to Tuchanka. But by then I had an actual argument to back my desicion: Wrex' work to civilize krogan might be an indication that salarian calculations were off. And that krogans may yet be willing to integrate into galactic society (ah, welcome back, clear conscience!)
But before I went to Tuchanka, I supported Mordin all the way. The spec of evil on the shining plate of pure paragonness.

The Genophage is the only subject in this game where I was inclined to go Renegade. The reasons behind the Genophage are sound.
Does any one else wonder if the the whole Krogan problem was inspired by the Cane Toads of Australia.

Mordin is probably the best squaddie out of all the ME games.
I hesitate saying he might be the best npc partymember of any of Bioware's games. He's up there with Minsc and HK-47 anyway.

Thinking of the genophage gives me a headache... I seriously can't decide anything about it. But it's impossible to consider Mordin "bad" for doing what he did. Specially after you learn how he is, how he feels guilty sometimes. And the talk about religion was really deep and unexpected, possibly one of my favorite dialogues in the game.
Before ME2 came out, I though Mording would be either a goofy comic relief or a hateful Mengele doctor. Thank god, I was wrong.

I had to google it. And it's probably a coincidence
But krogans DO look like cane toads, so now I'm on the fence.

mordin is (along with legion) my favourite character across both games, tbh. he's cool, smart, funny, love his fast-speaking and sense of humour - so well-rounded. i liked his side-quest as well (best one on Tuchunka) - the end "confrontation" was excellent.

Same here. Though its a hard choice between Mordin and Legion.

Mordin is the greatest just because he has various "Not ready to converse more yet" messages
From Varren STDs to Curing Joker! Its greatness! The others are so boring with the same one over and over.
