warp ammo with a soldier is my preferred playthrough after a stock adept.
Best build for insanity...so far.

Reave may drain health, but when are you low on health as a Sentinel. In most cases I would prefer saving that bonus slot for something like AP ammo. Sure you have to "waste" 3 points on throw but its not like you wont have those points to spare since Cryo is full of Fail.
My build is
2 Throw
4 Heavy Warp
4 Power Armor
4 Heavy Overload
4 Raider
3 AP Ammo
and I still have two points to spare for if/when level cap goes up.

Cryo has its uses, for me at least, albiet rare. And I have AP since I have Garrus with max group AP. Perhaps instead of AP maybe energy drain...would help keep tech armor up even more...hmm.

I went with Reave as bonus and Throw instead of Cryo and found the skill pretty useful once you bring the enemy down to red, a quick throw will knock the enemy down and away from you. with only 3 second cooldown, i can cast this over and over again.

Yeah, but when the enemy is in the red isn't it a bit easier to just use reave and then shoot it like twice for it to die?

As for Warp and Reave.. Warp is more useful on higher settings. Simply does more damage on protected enemies. Reave is the most useful when they are unprotected.
I disagree. Reave really works well on barrier and armor and actually does twice as damage to them than to health.
This is a misconception. Warp gets the same damage multiplier to Barriers and Armor.. The difference is Insanity punishes the duration on Reave so it actually does a bit less damage overall.
I've noticed the duration lowering on certain enemies, like mechs, but random armored chumps don't seem to benefit from this. I would still suggest Warp + Energy Drain over Reave + Overload, just because energy drain has nice synergy with tech armor.
