Finally downloaded Fraps and will try and get a vid on today or tomorrow. Sadly, I don't have any saves earlier than the last mish, so that's what you get. Video is compressing right now and will then try and put it on youtube.

Vanguard on Insanity is all about charging every time the CD is up and making the most of Pull imo.

I dont get why ppl don't use Pull - the combos it sets up are OP, it has like a 2 second global cooldown (the shortest of any power afaik) and you get full benefit from it from 1 talent point.  Plus, Pull/Charge is a fun combo.. But nothing says fun like Pull/Heavy Shockwave (just try it, hahaha... is that a bird?)

Reave is awesome too, but not just becuase of the range damage.  If you stay in cover till one enemies shield goes down and then Reave them, you have 2x health.  Combined with the shield from Charge, you have a lot more durability than you would otherwise.  I prefer that to the 12 second CD shield abilites and would never have made it throught the Husk missions without it.

About to start the last mission.

Edit:  Another funny pull kill with Thane/Miranda:  Pull an enemy, then use Heavy Throw and Heavy Warp on it at the same time... Boosh.  Yes, I go for style XD

You sound like you're a horrible Infiltrator player.

I've read your posts and you seem to have no clue how to use the cloak and you use a fricken assault rifle on an infiltrator class, instead of a one hit kill weapon like the widow.

Cloak is worthless in speedruns, especially with a weapon like the starter rifle or Widow. You have to reload after every shot, which is a major slowdown compared to rushing with an assault rifle - but the Widow isn't even a one-shot kill on any of the mobs without Ass Cloak, which means you're effectively doubling the reload time. Weapon swapping isn't a valid alternative because its even slower.

A decent Infiltrator player and the Widow, would one shot it's way through the same area in no time.

Nope. Certainly not on NG+, where I'm pretty sure not even an Ass Cloaked Widow headshot will oneshot anything but the first wave of mobs. If you do a clean game on Insanity, and use the starter rifle, you can oneshot your way through the first wave of mobs - but Legionnaires aren't even 2-shottable, so whether you have ammo or not the rifle is effectively out of the question after the first wave.

Make the shots count and you can kill 13 enemies with the widow and YES you do find ammo even if not much.
Don't forget heavy incinirate which is devestatingly powerful for  armor/health enemies , use the Handcannon and finish them off.

You cant kill 13 enemies with it in anything like a speedrun. As pointed out above, it is impossible to get any rifle to oneshot a Legionnaire (and I'm fairly certain a Heavy) in a situation like what I was in - so the rifle is no longer useable after the first wave.

I've already tested it - at best, if you land every single oneshot kill, you'll shave 15-20 seconds off my time assuming you have an assault rifle, which means no Widow. You wont even beat 1:59 with a Widow - if you think otherwise, prove it, instead of running your awful mouth.

Handcannon with AP ammo and cloak, is cake walk with simpler enemies.

Because Handcannons are remotely as effective and forgiving as assault rifles. And just FYI, Shredder or Disruptor/Warp are both better ammo options for the segment in question.

How about some SMG kill up close with cloak tactical advancement.

Good luck. You'll get one kill, if you're lucky, and die before you can get behind cover. This is Insanity+, not Casual.

You were nerfing the Infiltrator build choosing a weapon like assault rifle.

Nope. Infiltrators are not capable of speedrunning with the likes of Vanguards. Speedrunning is the only vaguely objective way of measuring class capability in a SP game like ME2, so Vanguards are better than Infils, who have traditionally been advanced as good classes for Insanity.

Just like your opinion, this was mine.

Unlike my opinion, however, yours is wrong. And you didn't back it up.

Is Vanguard easy on lower levels like Normal/Veteran ?

Vanguard is easy on every difficulty level, Insanity included. It only becomes hard on Insanity when you try to speedrun.

To be successful with vanguards...you must know where to charge. The place you end up with will be the place that is of tactical advantage to you and your team.

There's numerous guides here in this forum, read them to pick up those very good tips. One simple rule I follow myself though is that I pick the furthest enemy to charge to. This will often ensure that I end up being the lone person at the other side of the battlefield. The enemies will be sandwiched between you and your team. Pick them off one by one then. Of course, this rule has many other variables, like even more enemies popping out after u get rid of some...or the place u land on isn't really the 'other side' of the battlefield. But following this rule has gotten me some excellent time and fun compared to other classes. I'm going through hardcore now...battles are faster than when playing as an adept.
