So i got the skill, ive been casting it in several fights now but so far. all its doing is turning nearby corpses red for a few seconds then nothing happens. i dont get any undeads fighting for me or anything. why?
no control panel for them nothing.

I had this problem at first. There's a few things to look out for.



1. If Death Siphon is active, it will eat the corpse. If it eats the corpse, you can't animate it. You may as well turn Death Siphon off if you want to cast Animate Dead, because it doesn't work while Animate Dead is active.



2. Sometimes looting the corpse will have the same effect, although I don't think it's supposed to.



3. You have to be standing really close to the corpse (another reason to turn off Death Siphon).



4. Some corpses can't be animated (although I've found that I can reanimate the skeletons I kill).

What really annoys me is you cannot give the skeleton tactics. Seriously, its just aggravating to have to micromanage the skeleton. I could understand having to redo the tactics every summons, as your giving instructions to a new creature, but no tactics at all is just annoying.

Tactics? Because they are only temporarily alive so giving them tactics doesn't really matter?

Depends on the area. Some places the skeleton could survive for a couple hours. If a person doesnt want to bother with the tactics, they have not lost anything. If a person wants to set up his pet skeleton on the other hand...



Please do not say this would be in any way unbalanced. You would have to recreate your tactic slots from scratch with each new summons. If I am willing to take the time and have a chat with my skeleton, I ought to get some return
