Geth AR for me. Collector AR is nice, but the Geth AR's ROF combined with special ammo, it's accuracy and ammo capacity put it ahead of the Collector AR.

I'd say it depends on your use. The geth is great at taking down shields and to some extent barriers, however the collector is excellent in almost all situations because the target box does not expand while you're holding on the trigger. Couple that with some inferno/armor piercing/warp ammo and it seems like overall its the better choice if you plan on being the main killer in your party and not doing a lot of abilities



Conversly, as a class who has a hard time with shields (Adept), the geth may be the better choice.

Out of curiousity, can you bump the difficulty up a level at the beginning of Haestrom, and then reduce back to Normal or whatever to get the Geth AR?

I've read a post before where a person tried it. It works as long as you increase the difficulty before starting the mission.

Yes you can do that Increase difficulty before you start the mission, get weapon, bump it back down.

vindicator is really more effective. I haven't used the MG for the soldier class though.

Vindicator would be the best AR in the game if it didn't have so little ammo.

Geth Rifle with Incendiary seems to be really really deadly on my soldier.

Vindicator or Revenant, nothing else can even come close to these two.

A single vindicator burst = 9/10 Avenger bullets and with better accuracy. Revenant Handles like the Avenger would if it wasn't crap.

Where exactly do you get the Geth rifle? I've only played on normal and it's starting to seem like that's why I haven't seen it.

Honestly, I prefer to use the Vindicator over both of them. . But if I had choose I would probably take the Collector one, merely because I haven't tried out the Geth one yet

Get that big ass machine gun and just pulse it. I massacred people with it and adrenaline burst -- took out barriers and armor in a few shots.

What??? I have done 2 playthroughs and never found a geth rifle. I think I remember scanning a rifle on Haestrom that gave me an upgrade but that's it.

Ahh looks like you have to be on hardcore or insanity to get it. Disappointing.
