whose the "you" you speak of? we are at 17 pages here with ideas all around. your list is correct tho. those are 3 things that need to be changed for ME3.

yeah I only read the first and last few pages. sorry if I came accross as accusatory, I wasn't trying to point out specific people. but for all the posts with good ideas, there seem to be others which are just plain old 'its bad'... no wait, you'll probably just ask me to point them out.
As a matter of opinion, I don't actually agree with point 1 and 3. 1, because in ME1 i hated waiting 60+ seconds to use a power twice, and 3 because, well, i really like the ME2 adept anyway.

ME1 powers recharged in like 9 seconds in ME1 not 60 seconds. you can cycle abilities with the adept in ME1 and after using the last ability, your first ability will be ready again. ofcorse singularity basically axed the use of any other ability. i liked linking abilities in ME1 like lift and throw, but i also like having only one cooldown to watch over which makes gameplay much more intense which is good in ME2.

i recently tried biowares dragon age and found that the mana system would work fine with a game like ME2 as well. i do like having that little half circle visualization in ME2 tho so somehow incorporating a mana syetem with a visualization like ME2 would be good. im not so involved with RPGs so i dont know a fully fledged out concept but the idea should be very doable and more importantly practical.

id also like something done with enemy protections. it just doesnt seem very well thought out and personally for me really distracts me from what im doing. honestly its the biggest immersion breaker for me they probably didnt see coming. i hate staring at those stupid yellow/blue/purple/red health bars.

i dont think bioware should hold back with ability useage. in my mind my abilities i use should be much more powerfull then my guns. id like to have my weapons be my secondary means of dispatching enemies rather then rellying on my guns so much.

i also think sentinels bio and tech cooldowns should be seperate, as well as a seperate cooldwon for medigel.

thers just seems to be a few big deal things for me in terms of gameplay elements in ME2 that just arent very well thought out. which seems weird for me because ME1 is a god damned masterpeice.

I am mostly a forum reader and not much of a forum poster, but I am having so much fun with adept on insanity that I just had to comment.

This is my third run on insanity - first was with vanguard. Vanguard play is twitchy and tough but really gets your pulse racing when you take down a geth collossus face to face like the video. (had to reload 20 times for this to work though), then with soldier (ezmode with Widow and heightened adrenaline rush) and now with an adept (tactical fun with biotic combos and especially full of laughs).
I really struggled at the beginning but then saw average gatsby's videos. After horizon the game becomes easy when you get more points in your biotic abilities and your upgrades.

I absolutely *love* warp explosions and use them ALL the time for EVERY mob. Hell against the normal mobs..don't even bother with cover on insanity :). Area energy drain/area reave (respec bonus power depending on mission) to wipe out defenses, followed by a pull and an unstable warp. Make sure you use the squadmate abilities here (and turn auto use off) so you can go 1, 2, 3 and BOOM!

I am not sure why people here prefer singularity for warp explosions - pull field is so *much* better, having only a 3s cooldown compared to 4.5 seconds for singularity. I only use my singularity (heavy version) against heavy mechs, geth primes and harbinger. For collector missions, I bring samara and thane - an extra pull and an extra unstable warp. The drones are in the air most of the time and its nice to see harbinger fall apart by warp exploding his buddies.

[Note: biotic squaddies and combos aside - Harbinger becomes a barbie doll with Kasumi's flashbang grenade - he can't do anything apart from throwing insults]

Just completed overlord and now heading to get the reaper IFF. Btw, did anyone observe that the normal geth rocket troopers in overlord appear to really suck (on insanity). I mean you can dodge their rockets with WASD, go right up to them and melee!! This wasn't the case for the blue suns mercs - their rockets followed you.
Another really big laugh is pull-throw with a Krogan guy - you can repeat ad-nauseum. Put your squad-mates elsewhere, get a krogan's defenses down, do a pull-throw, wait till he regens and gets up, pull-throw again...the 'invincible' krogan is now your new biotic practice toy.
