So not very many people like Zaeed then?

What sucks about him is you can't really start up a conversation, and whatnot. Other then that, his stories are good, and his Loyalty quest, if you choose renegade, has an incredibly badass ending....

All of the other characters I cared about and liked in some way or another; they felt real.
With Zaeed, I feel nothing... he's just there. Like a wall, or statue. I don't really know why.

I think more people would like him more if you could have conversations with him instead of just clicking on him for some dialog.
That's part of the real why I don't care for him. But his stories are funny.

*Thane joins the crew"
Thane - "Hey, who's that guy over there?"
Shepard- "Who? Oh...him...that's Zaeed...he's the badass third wheel that occasionally shoots something when we let him out of the garbage room"
Thane-"I see..."
Shepard-"So...your quarters are this way, and I'll be by to talk to you later!"

The only issue I had with Zaeed was that there was no lead up to meeting and recruiting him. He's just same random guy donkey punching a batarian hobo over and over at the dock entrance of Omega Station. That didn't instill any love of him with me.
His stories and in-cabin interaction was nice and a good throwback to what I loved about Wrex conversations, but that was all he was.
Okay I no longer care about what this thread is actually about. I just know that "Batarian Hobo" needs to be a band name.

Certainly didn't hate him. I liked him more than jacob, who creeped my femshep out.

With the way they've gone with Zaeed, it feels incredibly disconnected, and thus I don't really care for him. He doesn't have any of that relation, that development, and thus not much personality. In contrast to the rest of your crew he feels like he's in the background, like he's just another video game character.
I really, really hope they don't do this to Kasumi or whatever new squaddie they make.

I agree that he needed more fleshing out. His stories tend to loop after a while, but I could hear him reminisce about Jessie all day. He's a lot opportunity. He had loads of potential, but it's strange that people dislike him because of this rather than want to know more.

I think he's really good. Love the cockney accent. Wish he shouted "Oy guvnah, yoo want a smack in the gob!?" in battles.
No offense, but your obviously not from Britain. There is not one spec of cockney in his accent. Some edumacation for ya, old yella!

Agreed, but the VA is English
On-Topic I like him, although I tend to have harder time controlling him than other characters. Not entirely sure why. I actually liked his stories and don't think the wheel conversation would've suited him as much as the others.
I'm intrigued as to how they'll handle Kasumi when it comes to onboard ship conversation.

He's pretty well developed in his own rights, fun to have around on missions (nothing beats a dry & cynical comment) and of course, simply a badass guy

I couldn't quite place his brilliant accent though. To me he sounded like an Aussie but alot of people seem to think he sounds English.
