-no crouch

-planet scanning gets boring pretty fast

-no hotkeys for accessing journal/codex/squad like in ME1

-no switching aim sides

-the mission complete screen. don't know why put it just ticks me off for some reason.

-can't remove helmets during conversations. this should be optional imo.

-no mako

-universal power cooldown sucks

-more squad dialougue please. I felt like there wasn't enough this time around

-the experience system could be deeper. I miss getting xp for every kill.

-the lighting. i know this game is supposed to be darker than the first but the lighting could've been better. I noticed the lighting on the corners of the screen are always darker. that kinda sucked

- better weapon selection than ME1, but still needs more imo
- armour handled better this time round but again more variety needed
- squad needs more powers
- squad armour - either add 2-3 more choices for them (I actually liked that they all had their individual styles rather than me just wacking the Predator or Collossus armours on them)
- preferred having ammo mods to them being a power, though not so much it is a huge issue (really like the way you can activate the ammos from the power wheel rather than having to go in and swap out the mod)
- better mini-games, they were better in ME2 but still room for improvement
- cannot change name of imported character - its not that hard to keep track of the different characters I have, but would be easier if I could change the name each time I import a ME1 character to ME2

Thats all i can think of for now

I find it annoying that if you're not behind cover in a fight against more then 2 enemies, you're torn to shreds very fast.

Enemies almost always focus on Shepard, you never get the chance to flank or backstab.

We should still be able to land on nearly any planet, I miss my MAKO :(

ammo was the single worst thing they could have done. i understand people felt the guns over heated too much, but thats why good designers re work a mechanic to make it work better. increas the amount of shots you can take, there problem solved. getting rid of a great ammoless gun system and adding in ammo was the easiest, laziest, and dumbest thing they could have done. it took one of the main features of mass effect that set it apart from the average halo esq shooter and turned it into exactly that. they should have named this game Gears Effect, even down to adding the red as you die.

Many things I didn't like very much are mentioned. (planet scanning, Inventory, armor, not fixing Garrus' face and armor, weapons, more different loot).

One thing I really missed are 'words'. First, there is no party banter. Then you get a lot of 'lets talk later' from the team. And after the mission behind the Omega relay, there is close to nothing about it. I think, Grunt and Samara said something, but everybody else just said the same like before the mission. No one comments on eventually lost team members or if they are glad to be back or what ever.

Even the NPCs in the towns are almost mute when you go there after the suicide mission.

Worst of all: after the romance scene with Garrus you get the same line like before starting the suicide mission. Don't know about other romances yet, but could he not say something other? Maybe, that he liked the time spent together or that he would not do it again? Just something else then before.

I don't know, but maybe someone could build some new text for these things in a DLC in the future?

The maps from Citadel, Illium, Omega are to small. You see really much buildings (through windows) or read how many people live there on the station/town and you can see the whole place in about 5 to 10 minutes walking around?

Mails: I got some Mails from several people and always waited for an additional quest or meeting the sender somewhere.

The ending...Ill try to avoid spoilers...but it seemed rediculously weak. I killed it with a god-damned assault rifle.

Oh the ending boss is indeed lame, i never thought it would be like that, i never had a boss fight so easy on me, i didn´t get hit a single time with the invincible cover system.

Kinda makes you not even fear what we might face in ME3. Just grab your small arms and sit behind some random cover.

The Archdemon in dragon age was a more difficult opponent.

The thing you fought wasn't even at full strength and had weakpoints still visible.

More armors? Mass Effect 1? Are you pulling my leg? The only difference between them was the shoulder design depending on the weight and the colour.

There are far more variations that YOU can create in Mass Effect 2.

Actually, not really. There are more designs you can make regarding armours in ME2, but there's less actual armour overall, and the armour doesn't even have various statistical values like the ME1 armour, instead going for a single attribute for each part.

you really dont have to "scan" the planets. just fly by click scan if you dont hear EDI say anomoly detected leave. but i guess you still click scan but no scanning needed as in you have to guess where to scan and find out theres no mission. EDI lets you know if there is

you miss the point... you still have to orbit every damn planet instead of knowing something happening on one like the last game

Planet scanning isn't *that* bad, but it gets kind of dull and begs the question why you're doing it manually on a state-of-the-art starship. Gimme back the Mako, please. It' wasn't the driving that got annoying (the retrorocket bunny hop is fun!), but the ridiculously extreme topography of some planets that made efficient grid searches a bit of a pain.

The inability to choose from time to time which downloaded content I want to include in my game is irksome. Dragon Age got it right: give me a menu to pick and choose what to activate and when.

The "mission complete" screen is jarring, but it's even more annoying to get kicked back to the Normandy immediately after. And in the cases where you do get the option to stay behind for a while, the "press F to leave" alert completely covers the dialogue prompt. Tres annoying.

Related to the above: Please to be giving me an option to disable the prompt that tells you whenever an upgrade is available/ researched. I *know* I just got it. The hole in my wallet tells me so!

No hotkey for the journal...really? Really? Fix please.

The lack of party banters makes you feel like your crew exists in a vacuum. There is one interaction on the Citadel that just makes me smile because...they acknowledge each other's existence! Suddenly they're not just bots anymore.

While I agree that the inventory in ME1 got overwhelming, the current solution is just kind of boring. The lack of stats on the weapons, along with immediately upgrading to whichever is better means that there's no point in paying attention to who uses what and when. And similarly I get why the henches by and large don't wear armour (visually distinct characters and so on), but really...after ME1, anyone who wanders into battle without protection (and in three-inch heels!) just seems suicidal or stupid. Also, if you could please see fit to include the armour model Shepard wore in the intro as pieces for future customisation, that'd be nice. 'Twas pretty.

Having to peel back layers of protection for some abilities to affect targets seems silly. Gravity cares about shields? Really? And while I do like what's been done with biotics, the visuals made more sense in ME1 (character executes a mnemonic form, and the dark energy field spins itself into existence in the designated spot, rather than the biotic suddenly firing projectiles for whatever reason).

I have mixed feelings about the N7 missions. On one hand it was nice to see more variety than simply "walk into the same building you've been in on 17 other worlds and shoot some people". And let's face it, the vistas in ME2 are simply gorgeous. But they still felt empty and tacked on, somehow, rather than integrated into the story as a whole. I kind of miss Hackett and others giving me feedback.

120 save slot limit on a PC game (and let's not get started on the inability to name my saves)? Really? By the time I hit the endgame on my first run, I was on save 400+.

Also, but the thing you fight at the end? Just...no on the design. It's probably not a good sign when the initial reaction is "...that's the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen."

...oh and a small, extremely petty note to finish: Less copypasta in the planet descriptions in the future, please. Quality in writing is a Bioware hallmark, after all.

I hated the N7 missions. It's cool that you can scan a planet to find new missions, but the missions had no story and no immersion. Where was Corporal Toombs, Major Kyle, etc.? Those ME1 missions were nothing more than irrelevant sidequests, but they had story and people to interact with. Seems like the only sidequests in ME2 that followed that formula were the loyalty quests. It felt strange, like the game was so short, even though it took me 30 hours to play.

Planet scanning takes a considerable amount of gaming time from those 30-40 hours, heck why do i need to manually scan planets when i have a ship with an AI that is much faster than me and can multitask?

I liked ME2 alot, but there are a few things i noticed:

- Lack of many in depth conversations with locals in cities as the citadel, omega, etc, compared to ME1. Only real in depth conversations seem to be with squad members leading toward and during their loyalty missions.

- No voicing/conversations with the Hanar. I really liked them in ME1, but they are completely ignored in ME2, except for some references to them from Thane.

- No conversations with the Elkor. Only times you see the Elkor speak is in the Citadel's Advertisements & a random Bouncer in Omega. Shame that its left out, they have pretty humorous ways of conversating.

- Lack of exploring in the Citadel. Only wards are acessible, there is no way to walk around in the Presidium, only option is to visit the human ambassador's room.

- Lack of exploring embassy's or visiting the council (depends on your ending of ME1)

- Lack of armor customization of CE & pre-ordered armor editions of ME2. Could be fixed in a DLC patch.

- Some minor Audio/visual bugs. Example is audio bugging in Samara's loyalty quest. Visual bugs example is the visual distortion of shephards eyelids during cutscenes. Problem was already present in ME1, not fixed yet.

- Lack in content of ME2 Collectors Edition bonus disk. Cheaply made, would like to see more bonus content in ME3.

- Story episodes where you are forced to proceed with a mission felt pressured. Would like to see more freedom there. Examples are when you are forced to talk to the Illusive man for a next assignment and are locked out of map screen.

- Planet scanning can be a pain, but i think this has been mentioned countless times before.

- Would like to see more ways to earn money. Please give more trading options when in trade hubs or exploring, having money mission dependent can make you run low on cash alot of times.

- Would like to see more social interaction of squad members during a mission, just as in ME1. I am missing the funny comments that make your squad feel more alive. Would also like to see the feature return that lets us talk to squad members during missions at any time, instead at specific locations.

- More armor art/types for Shephard/squad members. Currently only 2 skins available per squad member. Shephards armor can be customized pretty nicely, but would like to see more diversity beyond the N7 armor.

- More freedom in choosing to work or oppose your superiors (Cerberus in ME2). In ME1 you could decide to hang up on council or ignore them, in ME2 you have less freedom from the Illusive Man, contrary to what the Elusive Man claims in the beginning of the game, that you could split from Cerberus if Shephard didn't like it. (Altough it is an end option, it is not felt like that in the majority of the game)

- More (unlockable) content available after completing the game. There isn't much to do anymore after completing ME2, if you already have done all the side quests. Would also like to see more people then your crew react toward you defeating the collectors, most characters/friends you encounter (Wrex, Aria, etc) do not acknowledge you having finished your main quest/was victorious.

- In ME1 you became a hero in the end, which reflects through in ME2. But at the end(s) of ME2 you feel more or less unrewarded for your efforts.

- Please give an option to check out cutscenes/vital moments of the game once you have finished to game. Could be a nice suggestion, now you need to keep loading your favorite saved games.

- Is there any way to backup your ME1/ME2 saved profile online for an Xbox360? It would be a nice feature with the EA account etc, since i cannot tell once ME3 releases if my xbox is still "alive". Would be a shame to lose a characters that has been around from years simply cause there is no way to upload it. Please, look into this, an online backup service would greatly be appreciated, I would be willing to pay for it if needed.

Well, thats most of it... If you have any comments, let me know.

- Story was a bit weaker than in 1st, there was no villain like Saren and the twists were weaker.

- werent so much weapons

- Meeting up with some old characters was a dissappointment, like Liara. Havent read the comics but she sure changed. What happened to her?

- on SDtv's the text is almost unreadable (like mine)

- too few stats and they didn't make much difference

- scanning was a pain

- SIdequest worlds, altough different and pretty, didn't really connect to the main story, and weren't that much more intresting as I had hoped. Also that hammerhead is dlc.

- You only fight the collectors 3 times in the game, would have liked to fight them more on some sidequest missions.

- Only couple of helmets and armor in game, otherwise have to dowload from live

THIS. I'll also add lack of weapons choices and armor pieces with the shameless objective to put them in for DLC when they should have been in the game already like the hammerhead DLC and Kasumi who's places in the SR2 Normandy are void but awaiting them. Pathetic. Image IPB

Finally the story was constructed like a cheap Hollywood action movie. The villan was bland and voided of any true danger, the "true" enemies are absent from the main storyline too often to be considered a threat and the relation with TIM is a joke specially if you're a paragon, not to mention if you're a paragon why not spy for the council from the inside? Bioware writers should really read more Tom Clancy novels to learn what a covert agent is and what a terrific oportunity they missed.Image IPB

*SPOILER*

And dont even get me started on the shadow broker story arc... He tries to sell him to the collectors and Liara doesnt say ANYTHING??? Even paragon Shepard would want to give some paid dues, and a good string of missions could come from there to hurt the Shadow Broker. Again fail.Image IPB

*SPOILER END*

ME1 had a great balance of RPG type exploration and conversation... its almost as if they want to make a shooter with RPG elements... not the other way around... Flying to a system and have a communication that something is going down near by is so much better then randomly stumbling on it... plus your party needs to talk to one another... this is one of the first bioware games i have played with a 3rd person style that did not have random banter with party memebers.. come on you know they could of done some neat stuff having tali and Legion in the same party.. or Jack and Miranda
