Basically, while I like ME2, it has the feeling of not being sure what it is. Is it an RPG? Is it a shooter? I don't like shooters at all. And while I do like ME2, it's borderline in some places thanks to those elements. It would be nice to have options - shooter people can stick with the more simplified rpg elements in favor of the more complex shooter elements. RPG'ers can have a more advanced levelling system, and simplified combat. Those that like both can customize somewhere between the extremes. For instance, I can't hit the broad side of a barn with anything less than a sniper rifle or half my SMG rounds, so running out of ammo is always a concern. An increased rate of clip drops would be very helpful (so far it hasn't been much of an issue, but getting close to the end). I'd rather have the abilities to ala cart my powers/weapons choices, rather than picking from six options, none of which I like - I prefer Thane's class.

Overall, I don't have a lot of complaints, aside from the common ones. The two biggest ones are the plannet scanning (which I actually don't hate), and the lack of banter. That was what made ME1 feel so rich. These were real people that didn't just interact with you, they interacted with each other. Now, they don't even interact with you unless you initiate it. Compare it to other Bioware games - KOTOR, ME1, DAO - and it's not just a "wonder where that went", it becomes a glaringly obvious oversight. The loyalty quests were interesting, but those are brief moments of life in otherwise two dimensional (and that's being generous) characters. Ever notice when you're talking to another character, how your party members just stand there, staring off at nothing, like manaquins? Creepy.

Along those lines, and already mentioned, the e-mail system. It's entertaining, but I've spent hours looking for people that sound like you should be able to meet up with them someplace - Emily Wong, the escaped prisoner, etc.

Now for the planet scanning. Like I said, I don't hate this. I don't like it, but it's not entirely bad. I think they were on the right track with this replacing the Mako, but they should have made it more of a challenge and less of a bore. Rather than having to manually scan, have the computer start a scanning pattern, and replace the chart on the right with something like a Guitar Hero button push game. Or, if they're that concerned about balancing the economy with time, launch a probe at a planet, and have it just do it's thing for a set amount of time while you go off and do a mission or two, then come back and pick up the results.

Thing I real hate in MA2

1 The new ammo system,(IE Thermal Clips), I can not stand them I miss the old over heating system, also no goverment would switch to a new system like that because the thermal clips are a one use item they would save money on the onld one.
2 the lack of armor and weapons in the game.
3 global cooldown on all abilities. I liked the old school of each having its own cooldown.
4 the limeted amout of ammo for the good guns.
5 elevaters and the banter of your combat group.
6 No good weapon and armor mods.
7 Same armor for your team maits all game.
8 very little skills to choose from.
9 you can not choose between paragon or renegade in the interupts only one or the other.
10 this game is very much not made for RPG'ers but for shooters.
 11 Planet scanning.
12 No Mako or something like it.

There are 12 more I can thing of but this is good for now.

I almost forgot my biggest pet peve. The "Who's the commander here?" moments, aka "Shut the hell up, I'm not an idiot, you don't have to tell me 600 times!" For instance, when I am scanning a planet with an anomoly, I don't appreciate being interrupted ever minute or two to be told that I can follow the white line in the reticle to find the anomoly. Thanks, once was fine, twice was ok, in case I missed it the first time, I'll even forgive three times. But on EVERY PLANET?! Hello, keep track of whether or not I've successfully found an anomoly, and once I have, for pity's sake, turn the ****ing thing off! Same goes for Grunt - I know I need to press the keystone, you don't have to remind me every 30 seconds.

Stop treating us like morons with the attention span of a flea.

Bioware couldn't even get NG+ right. Bring back Charm and Intimidate skills. Replacing those skills with your Paragon/Renegade level reduced the major attraction of new game plus because they're reset at the beginning of the game.

There's NO OPTION to switch off the (damn) tutorial.

A feature available in ME1's options.

[This is for ME2 PC]
Squad mates don't talk to each other during missions. Sometimes these exchanges between squad mates were interesting/funny in ME1.

A lot of dialogue gets repeated. If you select Reply #1, NPC responds with X. If you select Reply #1 again, NPC still responds with X. It seems like this happens frequently now when it seldom occurred in ME1.

1.Shepards body language is horrible. He supposed a spectre/ex spectre he should have a menacing body language not a childs body language.
2.Lack of character Interaction
3.Lack of Mako
4.Guns should just function like in ME1 if you run out of heat sinks.
5.Make planet scanning more interesting please. Less boring. Toggle needed badly with current system.
6.Garrus and Tali should have been loyal already
7.Needs more conversation with sqadmates
8.Universal cooldown leads to only using your favorite powers over and over.
9. Made Shepard less powerfull less badass
10. My Shepard would have killed every single Cerberus employee he came across not worked with them. Especially after they killed people I liked from ME1. My Shepard would have shot Miranda and Jacob in the face and escaped by himself.
11. I should get to keep my paragon/Renagade point in ng+ mode.

oh yea and don't forget
15. Things 1,5,8,12,13,14 are all extremely obvious and if you had decent game testers they could have all been fixed before the game was released.  In fact who ever had the job of making sure things like these don't make it into games should be demoted to toilet cleaner and should never be let anywhere near the rest of the devs again.

Oh come on, does it REALLY matter if it's an RPG or not? Why do people hang on to genre labels so much? I play games for what they are, generes just make it easy to have discussions I guess, but it is not a factor in me buying a game. ME2 does not seem to want to be either, and just took the best parts of both and removed all the fat from ME1. It worked wonderfully, since I still get to customize my Shepard, and I feel like each upgrade is actually an improvement. The more time I spend playing the game and the less time I spend stuck in a damn menu managing a horrible inventory, the better the game is.

But I digress. The vocal minority in the ME community is no different than in any other game that gets a sequel. It's always a bunch of people hanging on to really silly things like "What is it?! RPG or SHOOTER?! I NEEDZ TO KNOW!" C'mon. The majority of people will end up enjoying the game, and the minority can come here complaint about irrelavent crap while everyone else sticks to playing the game.

I think there's far too much bad pretending in ME2. Like...

- Let's pretend that cover makes you invulnerable so people don't need too much skill and less attention has to be paid to combat dynamics.

- Let's pretend that you don't need a radar so you don't notice the bad pathfinding and your squadmates constantly teleporting around the environment when they aren't in view.

- Let's pretend there's now something like ammo so it can be pretended that enemies actually 'do' something for you when they die (i.e. drop ammo) when really ammo is pretty much pre-placed.

- Let's pretend that non-heavy weapons have visible bullets when really the impact is instantaneous and then 'something' pretending to be a visible projectile travels in the direction of the past impact so that no complex collision checking needs to be done and it still looks more interesting (while you don't know this).

- Let's pretend you need to do a combat mission for recruting every squad member and a second one to make them 'loyal' so the main story and any decissions that would impact ME3 can be kept to a minimum.

Just some points off the top of my head. Of course games are all about pretending, but it should be of the 'good' kind.

1.  Planet scanning.  I found this extremely tedious as the game went on, really took away from the game.  It wasn't bad for the N7 missions but resource gathering took way too much time.  Maybe instead of a dozen or more sites on each planet have just a few, with more resources, and the same radar we get for anomalies leading to N7 missions.  I think this would take far less time and be far less annoying.

2.  Weapon Variety.  First off I love how the new weapon upgrading system works and I certainly don't miss the old inventory system where I was picking up like 50 redundant weapons each missions to either sell or gel but I would have liked to see a few more types of weapon in each category.  Also instead of each new weapon you find simply being an upgrade for the one(s) you already have it would be cool if they weren't necessarily 'better' just different like a pump shotgun that does more damage but fires slower vs a semi-auto shotgun that fires faster for slightly less damage, Assault rifles with larger or smaller clips etc.  Simply put I want more choices.

3.  Armor variety.  The new color and pattern customization was fantastic but also having 3 or 4 completely different armor models would have been nice.  Again, I like having choices.  Even if they had no impact on game mechanics it would have been nice to have the option of light, medium, and heavy armor just as a visual choice.  Much like the weapons, I sure did not miss picking up redundant suits of armor, and I like how researching upgrades works now, a few more different add-ons at merchants to add more choices would really add to the game.

4.  Squad Armor.  For this one I simply would have liked a few more outfits, like 4 different outfits for each squadmate would have been cool.  I don't so much feel like I need to armor and upgrade each member but again I like choices so I'd love to see more than just 2 outfits which were for the most part simply colour changes.

5.  Squad interaction.  I want more input from my squad in conversations and I want them to talk to each other more.  I loved in dragonage how your team would banter as you were wandering, it really brought out their character and I would love to see this in Mass Effect.

6.  Powers.  I think the number of skills for shepard is fine.  The skill point allocation and especially the power evolution I feel were fantastic, my only complaint here is the lack of variety for squad mates.  This comes back to liking choices but more than that it makes no sense to me that you tell me things like Jack is the most powerful human biotic but then she only has two different biotic powers.

7.  economy.  It would be nice to see trading centres on hub worlds where you can buy and sell the resources you've gathered.

1. Glitches!!! such as Grunts Loyalty bug and loss of audio during Samara's loyalty quest.

2. Lack of options in weapons and armor (streamlining a system dosen't equal fun). ME1 had great weapon and armors but lacked any rhyme or reason in it's inventory structure. grouping by class and type would have made it a joy to use instead of a headache.

3. Team interaction or interaction with ANYONE for that matter would have been nice. Solitary beings sitting in thier rooms meditating about the end of days is kinda BORING.

4. Choppy cinematics. Let me explain. Especially near the end with the Normandy dogfight. Whats needed is a more cinematic eye. Some scenes are so quick and jarring you can't get invested before they switch scene to something else. A longer cat and mouse chase through the debris field with better economic use of interior shots would have helped.

5. Scanning for minerals is the most tedious thing I think I've done in my entire adult life. With the amount of star clusters and systems within those clusters and planets within those systems this is more a punishment for desiring to upgrade than a viable substitute for currency.

Google translation, sorry:)

25 hours to finish ME2 remake and I only parts for the 30 level, not the game: /

Overall SW2 my disappointment, it is much less immersive than 1, the fights are always so boring and repetitive, I explain.

In ME1, if you got the sniper rifle is too easy. In SW2, a hand gun at the pump when you load a Krogan, just spammer projection and cold / heat, if necessary back up a bit. The missions are too prescriptive, not how to do as it intends to follow the lanes for the enemies one after the other. So of course the fights are more direct, but also more stupid, just back there to have one or two enemies that are moving to the side "enhanced tactical", it will return! In addition now we learn that to kill the best spectrum of the Council with a ridiculous weapon, since it is not to cartridge, so that eaters actually have the ****** (humor eh, am calm ^ ^ ). Incidentally I almost never used my weapon, except against the Krogan, which are compared to other enemies, super hard to kill, the sniper rifle is useless devenut, not enough fields to use it in general, c It is on that ammunition does not interfere when you do not need to shoot. For realism, run, jump over obstacles with 4 arms in the back with a missile, it does serious juror ^ ^

Always fighting for the "new" classes is clear is simpler in the end everything will be completed, just wondering what to choose first - knowing that the third line is the most important Initially, it must give preference to the defense of life, life in the attack if you Krogan dad knocked too quickly). Personalization level, zero points: / Incidentally, it's crazy like Cerberus should be satisfied: the contract was Sheppard as he / she "was before" do not even know how to fight, can change the face and class. Fail over whether the transsexual bugger XD

Otherwise, the armor now no longer pajamas for adults, it's cool if it was as furniture provided that 1, it would be better.

The respect for the universe and their script, their own more ... Oo

Even if in ME2, teammates are a little more useful, understand the more likely they are to get out in the back at every turn, they are invalid, they talk even more between them ^ ^

The loading times, especially within the Normandy (sic) are frustrating, the elevators were much better, at least it was entitled to a dialogue or a pub to wait now something that shines and is not even frankly pretty. For cons the Normandy SR2 is much more pleasant to visit, but the loading times when you know you have to move the bridge to hold (for example) then the cab Sheppard, to finally return to the walkways, it pushed back: /

In SW2, the time is long, hard times and tensions had (signed: The redhead from space)

Navigation in space in SW1, was simple and convenient click = move left / back, right click away, from one system to another planet. The gameplay was perfect as is. Now, Sheppard is sailing in cheerleader space (with the sound of a clogged drain), in addition to exit a selection is "escape", not practical. I thought the goal was to make the game more dynamic?

The power management was a good idea, but why they changed the gameplay?

SW2 is downright beautiful, but it does not make a good game the "cities" to 1KM square, whenever a station, ok, but on a planet like Illium (or Citadel) that concerned, everything is too close, there's nothing to see, no place for that, not even the place "Sheppard" for wedding anniversaries, there's nothing to see: /

So ME2, I found it ugly, because it is in full set eyes, it is still necessary that there have something to do.

The story is far really well staged, hat, as there is no side missions or very little farewell comment Helmsman ( "a communication to you and Captain Oh surprise, we still need you" ^ ^). And yet I imported a backup conciliatory, I guess if I had made a heroic ...

Finally the coup-raising materials, even nase that churns planets to explore. Both the Mako was not a lightning war (sic re: p), as was especially the cards that were poorly made and who made the Mako exploration tedious. It would just flatten a bit maps for the Mako is fun to use, at least it varied from one planet to another. Now we have a right to touch on an oscilloscope and have tendonitis of the wrist because the port was expected to be done with the mouse and not with the keyboard (I guess 360, when you put the stick all right, although the planet rotates on itself), all with a background worthy of tinnitus (and say that I play with a home theater ....). The worst is that we have no choice, take them two full games in order to save his teammates! More boring, I know not, except for "Hamlet" played by Elcor ^ ^

Voila, much like the story and I still like the universe of Mass Effect, as I was frankly feel to play another game Mass Effect, I even asked if SW2 n ' was not originally a different game, which had nothing to do with the base with ME is to say the deception. So yes SW2 is good but it is much worse than SW1. I am not the only one that gave ME2 want to redo part of .. SW1, SW2, but no!

Finally I would like to clarify that I did not make this post to "cut a suit" at ME2, but to give my opinion, so constructed and with humor (well hopefully), I say and I repeat, I like ME2, but much less than SW1.

PS: In SW2, the time is long, hard times and tensions had : it rhymes in French, sorry:)

Things I didn’t like about mass effect 2

Yes I am going to be comparing mass effect 2 to mass effect 1 it’s marketed as a trilogy so it only makes sense to do so.
I liked the when the ammunition and was in the first one, I don’t get how the different ammo types became powers and that only some classes and squad members can use them, why does it take special abilities to change a ammo type? Did they make it that hard to reload a gun? I do not like the thermal clips, the over heating and cool down system was much better and allowed you to use the type of gun you like instead in ME2 you have to change weapons over and over again. I don’t like the upgrade weapon system in ME2, it was better when the individual weapons had a number of upgrade slots and you bought or found the upgrades.
I liked the fact that the weapons had different stats except the one for accuracy in ME1. In ME2 I cant tell if one heavy weapon is doing as much damage as another weapon in the same class, all of them feel the same. I like that the targeting system in ME2 better because its based on the player ability to hit the target instead of the stats deciding for you.
The entire character leveling up system was better in ME1 than in ME2.
Need to bring back the armor options, stats, and upgrade options back for Shepard and have the entire team wearing armor. How in a zeros leather strap top and Miranda’s painted on jump suit and tower heels suppose to stop a bullet or help them survive a fight?                   PLEASE! PLEASE! GET RID OF SCANING PLANETS FOR MATERALS!!!! It is so boring. The mako was much more fun all they needed to do was make it easier to maneuver and make it so it you could upgrade it and give it a critical role in planet side adventures.
I liked the elevators in the first one it was a clever way to do a load screen and you got to hear your squad mates opinions and news from around the galaxy. All they needed to do was make the elevators faster and make them travel to a direct destination. The new load screens look bad. Some of the graphics and audio is off or missing altogether need more polish and better attention to detail. I also don’t like the mission summery at the end it takes me out of the game.
All they needed to do was make the inventory better organized like separate the armor from the weapons and so on and brake them down into categories and do the same with the upgrades. Why they scraped some thing that could have been fixed makes no sense.

Why is my Shepard stats different from ME1 in ME2 am I playing as the same Shepard or not?

More focused on the main story and more dialogue for characters. Some character has change but no option to talk to them in depth to find out why? Needs some shades of gray more often than not could not find a dialogue choice I could agree with.
ME1 was not a perfect game but the issues could have been fixed and improvements made without scraping every thing. Trying to make the game more mainstreams has dumb down what made the game good to begin with. ME2 feels disconnected from the first in a lot of ways. If they where going to make it a trilogy that connects to one another they should take that into account.

1) Planet Scanning (I'm the commander of the ship and I have to do this, don't I have a scanning officer/peon?) Face it you will not be able to make exploration/mining interesting. It's not that exciting irl why do you think it will be in space?

2) Not enough quests on "hub" planets. I would love it if we didn't have to wander the galaxy scanning "unexplored" planets for anomalies. Increase the quests available at the main planets ten-fold, give me the chance to find sidequests by overhearing conversations, listening to the news, talking to various contacts, getting email and then flying out into the terminus systems and locating the ship/base/etc (similar to ME1).  ME2 needed more quests unrelated to my companions AND more quests about my companions that have nothing to do with their main quest.

3) The companion quests were too short and didn't have any real impact.

4) The alternative outfits for the characters were uninspired (black instead of white clothes, really?).

5) The entire game felt emotionally flat and unengaging. I didn't care about my team...With the exception of Garrus and Tali. The two characters who I have been with for 2 games. Not a coincidence that;  when I went through the climactic mission Tali died and I was really pissed off. Two others did to but I was really upset about her death, we had a history together.

6) The fact that Wrex, Ashley/Kaiden, and Liara are not recruitable. Oh and that your LI from the first game is nonchalant about your being alive.

7) That I receive emails from a lot of minor characters from ME1 thanking me/whatever but none of the characters have additional sidequests. Like I need some emailed pat on the back! I get enough spam irl I don't need it in a game.

8) That there wasn't an emotionally impactful relationship/love interest.

9) If I don't have an imported character that I don't get to just go through a check list and mark off how I played the first game.

10) The game was waaaaay too short and didn't expand on ME1, I expect sequels to be longer not shorter. I played every sidequest, scanned every planet and it still only took me 25 hours to complete. I don't want filler missions (more planets to scan, mako driving, generic bases/ships) but I do want to have longer quest chains. I hate to bring up rival developers but I would like something similar to the quests in the Elder Scrolls, multiple class quests, multiple background quests, quest chains longer than 2. How about letting Shepherd explore the history of the last two years and come to terms with the fact that he/she has been dead for that long?

Okay, So here is my list of things I didn't like

1. Talking options; felt like they were toned down a bit
2. Fact that you have little contact with old squaddies; those just like me know what I mean
3. The fact that my crew can change my ammo type; even when I turn off squad power usage they can still turn my ammo type.
4. Only one armor if you don't have codes; ME 1 had a wide range of armors. This one, the armor customization was good but the fact that you can wear only one armor if you don't have the codes sucks.
5. Male Shepards still have the same hairstyles.

I have a lot more but I'm not about to list them all here. So what didn't you guys like? Posting this so BW can take a look and know what to improve on.

1. I agree... Tho the options seemed abit more in touch with what Shep was saying. Unlike ME 1 where some of the option choices, were nothing even close to what was actually said. (hated that!)

2. To me, that didnt mean jack ****. got a new team and met up with a few of the old team who has moved on after 2 years.

3. idk never had that problem.

4. I agree with this.
I found it quite sad that there was only one type of armor in the game, and only 4 different parts for each spot. (excluding the DLC bonuses) Heck I saw a concept art screen for helms it there was like 50 types...
There shoulda been at least 15 parts for each section of armor.
And then there was the extremely scarce weapons... WTF so now there is only one maker of each weapon? I get the heavy weapons being limited but what happened to the 10 different companies that makes the pistols, AR, snipers and Shotguns? Also what the **** happened to my spectre weapons and Collosus armor?!?!

5. agreed... (so do femshep)
I mean we are not exactly in the military anymore so WHY am I still so limited with my hair style?!?

6. Reload mechanic/Thermal Clip system
Absolutely uncalled for. Horrid idea (I blame EA for it) that makes it to shooterish and almost no RPG anymore. This is the oppisite of what ME 2 shoulda went... Its bad.
I actually finished ME 2 yesterday, and went back to play ME 1, to make a save where I changed some of the choices.... and I still think the combat in ME 1, while needing some of the improvements from ME 2, (like the smoother combat movements and what not) IS far sirperior then the overall combat in ME 2. Including the Amount of weapons choices, upgrades offered and abilities....

6. One of the biggest complaints I actual have about ME 2, is the story.... (well actually the lack of a real story!)
there is actually only like 5 story missions, the rest is about the squadmates.
And had the story for each squadmate been flushed out over more then 1 mission, and then 1 loyalty mission, it really could have been a good thing... but it felt soo empty. Of course what did I expect from a shooter. The are ALWAYS lite on actual story & missions.

7. The mission complete screen...
Seriously whoever had that idea needs to be fired! then beaten then shot and then beaten again! That honestly slaps the rpg fan in the face and says see we made ya a great shooter for ya!
I mean why the **** would you want to break the story and the gameplay with that stupid ass retarded screen? Why the **** not let US choose when to head back to the ship, and go talk to the IM and give him a report, or at least have us talk to Miranda about the mission, before the report is sent off.
One thing that was good in ME 1 was after each actual story mission you talked to the consil. In ME 2 you talk to the IM like what a total of 6 times even tho your supposta be working with him?
LAMEO!!
7a. Mission Complete dolled out XP for mission rather than
gaining XP for kills, performing tasks, successful persuades, observing
things, getting codex entries, etc. Same with being auto-transported to
Normandy/Other areas when this happens.

8. Lack of crouch!
Seriously? I can crouch againt something but cant drop to a knee so I can still face the enemy while not giving up a tactical advantgae for shooting??
Load of bull**** right there!

9. No inventory & actual upgrades
Honestly... They force you to scavange thermal clips for ammo but no one drops money, weapons or armor parts anymore? they kinda broke the entire shop system because of this. With as much as we have to visit places with shops, making a buy only system is one of the worst ideas ever! I mean When I wnet to end game level I had over 200000 of all but Element Zero and NOTHING to spend them on because i had all the available upgrades cept 1 because I didnt have another 75000 creds for it, and to top it off, I couldnt sell anything to ****ing get the upgrade...

I also was not impressed by the lack of customizable weapons...  without actual upgrades your weapons are just standard cookie cutter guns... Its really like BW took 10 steps backwards in ME 2 compared to ME 1. Very sad.

10. Helm...
Now while I love some of the dlc helms... the helms in general are really sad. I mean why was it in ME 1, in almost every cut scene, the helm was off even if you choose of it to be on, in ME 2 your helm NEVER comes off, even in the cut scenes, even when you take a drink?!?! so I am taking a shot through a pressure sealed helm's faceplate?!!??!?!
Nice BW why to overlook that. <_<

11. Casual attire...
only 4 huh? 3 being the same color scheme and one looking like a reject from a dumpster....
What the hell is up with the fact we can mod the N7 armor down to the material type, yet we cant even pick the colors of our casual outfits??!!??!!

12. N7 missions (side quests not relating to your squadmates)
seriously... some of the planets are amazing looking... you know for the like 5 minutes the mission lasts if we are lucky.
I hated the mako missions... but honestly I think I would rather do them as it was a lot longer then a 5 minute slaughterfest that the N7 missions were... (specially as you get no loot and very few creds for any of them) They were poorly done. Not the same ol cookie cutter layout, but the same ol cookie cutter idea.
They coulda made something sooo remarable doing this... and instead, just like th eUNC in ME 1 they dropped the ball with the side quests....

13. Planet Scanning.
BORING!!!

14. The audio cutouts
Seriously did anyone do any QA on the audio?? I had drops throughout the game.

15. Unreadable text!
Honestly, between the audio drops and the bad text font size and the face 90% of the time the text blended into the backround... They need better QA at EA/BW because whoever did it was either high, drunk or both!

16. Global cooldown on all abilities
Just bad.

17. Fuel management / Flying Normandy
Why if I am the captain of the ship do I have to fly the ship. I want to play as Shep Not Joker. It was very annoying and time consuming.....
Also, what gets me is during an interveiw, I think it was Casey saying there was ship upgrades blah blah blah, and the way he made it sound was there was a base somewhere you landed at, that you replenished fuel and probes, and was able to buy upgrades to the ship, not ask xx squadmate for ideas and boom go research it and magicly have it applyed.

18. Squad member outfits just being the same crappy outfit with new colors

19. Power evolution being utter crap, and biotics getting downgraded to "glorified finishing moves" Talent trees could of been a bit deeper

20. Disappointing romance subplot/s.

21. Removal of all the little immersive crap, like disembarking when you
land at a hub or being able to talk to your teammates during missions or hearing them interact with eachother. Like in DAO.

22. Can no longer explore the citadel fully

23. Squadmates are just so static, in ME1 it was the same and i never liked this, why
can´t crew members wander the ship and even have small dialogues
between them? Would be great going in an area and people were actually
wandering about and talking to each other, for ambience

24. Camera is to close to Sheps back....

25. Small environments compared to ME1

26. Ammo being a power now instead of an actual upgrade.

27. The new ME2 HUD. ME1's war far clearer and better. Radar should be there all the time too

28. The good/evil system.
my god.. why is it my ME 1 character can have a scar, but in ME 2 the only way to have a scar is to be a renegade... and of curse then the scar glows red?? WTF lame I am a god damn wor hero in ME 1 with battle scars...
In ME 2 I am terminshepard....  without the invulnerability.

29. The lack of F/F romance....
Why is it that my Femshep in ME 1 had F/F with a blue skinned alien yet in ME 2  i cant even bag tali or Miranda?
Also why no Krogan or Turian romance option?!?

Overall....
I honestly had hoped ME 2 would be a blockbuster... and with all the changes, (some being a few steps backwards) barly makes the mark of good.
The story (for whats actually there) is good, the problem is that so many elements were altered or scrapped form ME 1, that it just dont feel like the same series.... I mean even my Femshep (who I have 4 runthroughs with, 2 of them at lv. 60) even seem empty.
The voice actting is amazing for Femshep, and male shep is still annoying but in order to see the Miranda scene I had to go male crap... I mean shep.

I do like ME 2, but the drawbacks and the scrapped features, and real lack of a story and with all the immersion breaking elements that been added, only makes this game a good game... which is FAR FAR below ME 1 and its blockbuster must own status for me.
:crying:

the gameplay mechanics and visuals were perfect for me, couldn't get enough. but plotwise, I would've loved it if some of your team had to die during the suicide mission, no way around it. 2 or 3 of them maybe. I think the suicide mission in general was a bit of a letdown, the whole game gears you up to prepare for it, and it seems to fizzel out somewhat.

The ME1 finale was sweeping and heroic, I didn't get the same sort of feeling with ME2. Even though Saren obviously was a less grandiose final boss.

A twist would've been great, maybe Shepard and team are captured while in the shuttle (when EDI is installing the IFF) as Joker saves the Normandy. Taken aboard the collector ship, being forced to improvise the misson, while Joker comes through the Omega 4 Relay with Anderson and whatever loyal troops he's rallied beside him.
(If he's a councilman he just takes off, if it's Udina, there's a cutscene showing his support, or deliberately turning a blind eye.) But I suppose that stuff is gonna be saved for ME3.

Also my femshep was trying to romance Jacob and i obviously missed a trick somewhere because everybody BUT jacob was interested. Maybe I was too renegade or something, I dunno. Found it quite funny actually, but also irritating.

1. Main story is too short. I have recruit all companions, gain theirs loyalty and than...BANG...last mission... BioWare should add one or two main missions between that, maybe additional meetings and fights with Collectors or some surprising turn in the main story.
2. In ME1 we have a lot of the same looking planets with the same missions. In ME2 we have a lot of planets when we can only extracting unnecessary resources. When I end game I have 150-200k each of them. For what?
3. There are few planets where I can landing but most missions are 10-minutes raids on enemy base or some factory to the main computer. Exception is mission with Normandy crash site or when we defend wounded Quarian.
4. Side missions on the main stations and planets and after finding some anomaly should be more complex.
5. I think that outfits for my companions should have some bonuses after gain loyalty, not only visual changes.
6. Only one armor for Shepard if I don't have any codes.

Seemingly endless cheap respawning of enemies.

I was doing a N7 side mission fighting a couple of mechs ran for cover in a little room while my abilities cooled off peaked out the door and finished it off only to have 4 more guys spawn right on top of me in the very same EMPTY room i was just inn.
The way endless supplies of gun fodder keep running out of dead end rooms one after another as you kill them off is really my only complaint about this game. When you cleared a room in ME1 more enemies wouldn't magically appear out of think air

This is a very cheap substitue for proper AI that i honestly though Bioware was to good to have to resort too

While Mass Effect 2 is frankly currently the best game on the Xbox 360, there was a lot that could have been improved.

1.) Planet Exploration: The biggest I thing I missed was exploring random planets around the universe. A lot of people complained about how clunky the Mako was and how planets had mostly the same land mapping. Other people said how "useless" the exploring was. Everything they said was true. Instead of completely scrapping the Mako and planet exploring, Bioware should have improved upon it. I personally loved exploring new planets and finding things such as "ancient turian artifacts" and other little collectables throughout the galaxy. I like the aspect of exploring long lost civilizations and old planets. While Mass Effect 2 still let you explore new planets (not many), there was no land exploration of it. It was all combat and pre-determined. The fun of exploring a cast and unknown planet was taken away in Mass Effect 2. Sure people will complain how useless planet exploring is, but that's why it isn't mandatory. It's a side mission for a reason. If you don't want to do it, then skip it. When making Mass Effect 3, I hope Bioware puts land exploration and collecting artifacts back in the game.

2.) Customization: After completing Mass Effect 2, it didn't matter to me that there was a lack of customization. It wasn't needed, however, I still missed it. I like looting wall safes, and dead people to find new armor and weapons. Mass Effect 1 had way to make customizations and equipment, but Mass Effect 2 took out nearly all of it. I wished there was more armor to collect and more guns. Not a whole lot more, but enough to make Shepard feel more like "you." So make more armor and gun collectibles.

3.) Skipping cut scenes: After playing through Mass Effect 2 once, I wanted to be able to skip cut-scenes since I had already seen them. I understand not wanting to accidently skip them in game, so make skipping them the select button or something.

4.) Length of Game: While the game is immensely long when exploring all the side-quests and character dialogues, the main game can be completed rather quickly. I wish the main story arc had more to it.

5.) Deaths: I was dissapointed we could get through the game without anyone dying. While it's grim to think about, but I liked knowing someone was going to die, and my decision was responsible for who.

6.) Love Scenes: They seemed pretty edited and toned down. I thought that was a shame. While I am not asking for a porno-esque or scantily-clad cut-scene, I just thought more should have been added. Make it feel more personal and emotional.

7.) More Banter: I sometimes purposely chose certain squad members for certain missions, assuming they'd have more to say during the cut-scenes and in-action, I was dissapointed to see they had very minimal to say. I wanted more.

8.) Achievements: I thought there was very minimal acheivements to be earned. Completing the game on the normal setting will earn you must of the acheivements. I wanted there to be a lot more unique acheivements to be earned.

9.) Character Development: While Bioware did an amazing job with character development, I still wanted more. Some characters, like Grunt for example, had a lot less depth than other characters.  I wanted the loyalty missions to also have more depth. They were deep, but the missions didn't take long to complete. They could be completed within 10 minutes or so on most of them. I wanted them to be just as important as the main story arc and even somehow relate to the main story arc as well. Tie them into each other for the perfect all around experience.

10.) Lost Species: I loved scanning new planets and finding out about the "mass extinction events." I wanted to read more about these species and maybe have a chance to explore one of the planets and discover remains of a species destroyed by the Reapers.

That's all I can think of for now. I hope Bioware reads our comments and takes them into consideration.
