Hi,

I live in United Kingdom and I pre-ordered hard-copies of Dragon Age: Origins GAME Exclusive Collector's Edition (PC game) from Game.co.uk on 2nd November 2009 and Dragon Age: Origins (with Play.com Exclusive 'Feral Wolf Charm' Unlock & 'Memory Band' Unlock) (PC game) from Play.com on 26th September 2009.

Today is the official release date for the game in Europe and so far (13:47 GMT) I have received absolutely nothing! Having contacted both Game.co.uk and Play.com, both companies have confirmed that the respective order has been posted and all I can do is wait for each delivery to arrive.

However, upon asking about the codes for the bonus pre-order items, both Game.co.uk and Play.com stated that they are awaiting the codes from the supplier/publisher, and that, hopefully, they will be able to email the codes to meonce they actually receive them!

So, who exactly is responsible for distributing the pre-order item codes to the various retail stores? Why have these codes not been sent to the individual retailers before today? Or are both Game.co.uk and Play.com making excuses for their own errors? If so, then it's a little strange that both companies are using the same excuse!

Anyone else in United Kingdom/Europe experiencing the same problem? Anyone in United Kingdom/Europe who pre-ordered from either Game.co.uk or Play.com who have received the codes for the pre-order bonus items?

EDIT: Corrected formatting applied by the forum!

I thought I didn't receive my 2 pre-order quotes from Bol.com in the Netherlands; I expected a second paper inside the packaging. (The other one being Stone Prisoner and Blood Armor.) When I opened my e-mail client today to ask Bol.com's customer service for the codes, an e-mail containing them came in. This was about 24 hours after they sent out the game.

So, if you pre-ordered online, and you have gotten the game, you might wait 24 hours. You could be receiving an automatic mail with the codes.

Thanks for the reply Katsunami.

I have now received my order from Play.com, that arrived about an hour after I made my original post. Regarding the pre-order bonus items from Play.com, I was told to email their customer support department about the codes, which I did at 11:13 GMT. At 16:24 GMT I received an email from Play.com with the codes for my pre-order bonus items!

However, I've not yet received anything from Game.co.uk. I've telephoned them again and it appears the courier (Parcel Force Worldwide) is claiming that they tried to deliver the parcel at 12:49 GMT. Not sure where they tried to deliver but now I have to wait until tomorrow for a re-delivery! As to the codes for the pre-order bonus items from Game.co.uk, they informed me that they are now waiting for more codes to be sent to them from the publisher. Game say they did not receive enough codes to cover all pre-orders and it could take at least 3 days before they are able to send me the codes!
