Get lvl 4 Reave, Im playing on Hardcore right now and 1 hit usually takes out an Enemys shields,If your enemy has no shields will take them to Half health or lower, it also makes your target imobilized for a short period of time, AND IT HEALS YOU AT THE SAME TIME! It's healing factor really help to get you out of tight spots. Great power in my books

Soldier lvl 30
lvl 3 Adr. Rush
lvl 4 Heavy Concussion Shot
lvl 2 Dis. Ammo
lvl 4 Inferno Ammo
lvl 4 Commando
lvl 1 Cryo ammo ( have one extra skill point_

Considering it is Samara's power, I fail to see how "dark sided" Reave is.

It's the best extra ability for an Adept. Made insanity easy.

So is Reave the new Singularity?

Reave is good, but is it really worth taking as bonus talent? If so, do you not train warp and singularity to have it maxed?

Reave is really nice for a vanguard, since they don't really have any highly damaging abilities.

Reave is redundant on an Adept. Slap an ammo type on 'em.

Try using Reave on enemies stumbling in the singularity (shields, armor, barrier), before you know it they will be air borne. Its cool down is so fast!!

Reave was amazing for my Vanguard as a way to heal, incapacitate enemies, and deal with shields/barriers. I use it less on my Infilitrator but it's still one of the best bonus abilities.

Reave is very powerful indeed. But your build is not. Why only level 3 adrenaline rush?

I found increased weapon damage was a more essential upgrade than another damage inflicting biotic.  If the global cooldown was removed I think it would be a more useful addition.  Having said that though, I'm going to try reave again on my  second adept insanity playthru since so many others are really liking it  - My current Adept reccomnedation remains warp ammo though.

Prefer Barrier myself. As Jacob said - "Take the fight to the Collectors? Looking forward to the action". Barrier lets me get up close and personal with these bugs.

for my vanguard...

-lvl 4 incendiary ammo (inferno grenade)
-lvl 0 cryo ammo
-lvl 4 heavy charge
-lvl 4 improved shockwave
-lvl 1 pull
-lvl 4 champion
-lvl 4 heavy reave

for weapon specialization i chose assault rifle and i have the collector's ar...

i tried out barrier as i figured it'd be cool for vanguard, but i after playing i decided i wanted some kind of ranged power.. plus if you use reave on a dude they just stand there looking like they're in serious agony and you gain a portion of the health they lose.. it's like stasis but you gain health. i think it's like 40 points/second for 5.5 seconds and 6 seconds to recharge.. so fully upgraded it can last over 8 seconds and only take a little more than 3 seconds to recharge and it's 60 points/second. on top of all that it does double damage on barriers and armor. combine that with tali's shield absorbing power and you're good to go.

reave is awesome but i played as an adept my first playthrough and i have to say i did kinda miss detonating dudes with warp.. even if it is wildly inefficient to use two powers on an unarmored, unshield, unbarriered enemy.

just beat veteran, about to go for insanity

Reave kicks ass for Vanguard, seems like a silly thing to use on a Soldier. Soldier just shines with another ammo type like AP ammo. Seriously, after some experimenting heavy ap ammo on the Soldier is awesome.

But Reave does rule and the Vanguard can use it well. Soften up some bad guys with Reave and bullets, then due to the quick cooldown, Charge plus shotgun for the finisher.

Reave is great for soldiers because of the pain animation it cause's , great target, and i get more health to stay out longer and kill

What do you think?

I am currently playing as a Sentinel with the following powers:

Throw LV2

Warp LV4

Overload LV2

Cryo Blast LV0

Guardian LV4

Armor-Piercing Ammo LV4

Should I take Reave instead? Or something else?

In my opinion, Reave is redundant on Sentinels. If you did take it, no reason to keep Warp. But Warp is nice in that you can lob "artillery" shells behind cover.

Personally, AP Ammo or Energy Drain with nothing in Overload is probably the best combo for Sentinels. Smiling Mirror has been advocating the wonders of Energy Drain, and I'm trying it on my second Sentinel playthrough. I used AP Ammo the first playthrough. Energy Drain has dramatically improved my shield uptime, and I'm planning to give everyone squad ammo to get as much ammo bonus as possible, so it should work out well.
