I've deleted all my characters, so there's nothing for me to do under the Manage Characters screen, and my number of characters is listed as zero.
However!
I still have one file for one character under Profile Diagnostics -- the Story XML. And there's no way to get rid of it as far as I can see, since on all the other screens I have no characters to delete!
Any advice for a next step?
all characters deleted -- but...

Yes. First - always read the stickied threads if you have a problem, there is generally a reason they're stickied.
