I find the combat in this game extremely fun. More fun that games that are base mostly on their combat and not their story or character development. I hope there's tons of combat in future DLC's because I can't get enough of it, it's so much fun.
i agree and so do my firends. They all want more cause the combat is actually fun

That is neither true, nor a good course, for all games.

Which is why I want a revamped Pinnacle Station. Put in some online leaderboards and more hologram room scenarios (like the First Contact War battle in the original Station), and it'd be awesome with the reworked combat.Ingahootz wrote...
Would be nice if they had an arena like setting where you could just fight enemies over and over again.
It'd also provide Bioware with an easy route for DLC. If they started to run out of ideas, or wanted to get some stuff out quickly while working on bigger packages, they could release new missions for the room, like having scenarios where we relive a fight from the Krogan Rebellion or maybe even something like a World War II battle with biotics. The types of missions possible are practically limitless since it's a combat simulator, and they wouldn't take long to produce, which would make them perfect for bite sized DLC while they hammer out full expansions.

Sorry some typos might've made you misunderstand me. I meant the combat in ME2 is more fun than games that are mostly about just the combat, like Borderlands.

Ah, well. This may be true, but it isn't something that core elements of the game should be sacrificed for.

I guess you didn't read the fine print. ME 2 is a "cinematic experience" where combat is only a third order priority. Combat is sacrificed for extended cut-scenes that do little in the way of developing your character. I'm surprised no one has tried to derail this thread and yell at you to go back to MW2...
You really like to complain about that...
The dialogue/cutscenes aren't as numerous as you want people to think. There's plenty more combat, and it's all tied in richly.

Its not really a complaint, just an observation.

Which as much as you say you can, you absolutely refuse to back up. Do you really think anyone believes you at this point?

Wow buddy chill out. I'm not asking for them to turn the game in Gears of War. And I'm not asking them to sacrifice cutscenes, character development, or dialogue. I'm just simply asking for more combat because it's fun. I'm not saying the game doesn't have enough, I'm just saying that maybe in DLC and ME3 it would be nice to have even more combat because it is very fun.

Cut-scenes take up the bulk of the disc space, if you want more combat then there would need to be a correlating reduction in the length and number of cut-scenes.

Umm have you played the game. Its fairly obvious that cut-scenes make up the bulk of the game. I'm not the only one who has noticed this. The OP is basically saying the same thing.

Yes, I have played the game and find the balance to be fairly good. But you claim to be able to back up what you say, which people agreeing with you does not.
It helps, by the way, that at nearly no point is control completely taken from you. And dialogue, not combat, is what drives the game forward - so, it is possible that under a given analysis, it would appear to lean more in that direction. That would be balancing the two pretty well.
