What?  That makes no sense.

How is "DLC" any different from a sequel, bub? It's the devs changing or adding something to the game after the game was released.

Actually, I think DLC is a pretty poor format to bring it in. First, DLC rarely has the content or polish as the final product of a full game. Second, wouldn't you rather it be part of the main experience in ME3 then some optional addon tacked in a year or so later?

So, are you upset about the Hammerhead DLC? It will change parts of the game we already have.

Are you upset about Zaeed? He adds another person to the final team that wasn't  there before.

How is adding a DLC that makes Tali see femSheps in a more romantic way any different from a DLC that throws a random new character into the suicide mission that wasn't available before?

God forbid, you should hit on someone of the same gender and find out that they don't return your feelings.

Rather than accept that, you think that either A.) God [Bioware] messed them up, or B.) Continuing to pester them will make them change their orientation [wait between ME2 and ME3].

Is it REALLY that hard to roleplay a lesbian Shepard who happened to fall in love with a straight woman?

Yes, because that's not what happened. BioWare messed up (notice the lack of them) by having 0 non-romantic dialog for romance interests. My Shephard ends up with less Tali because somewhere in the vastness of space some other Male Shephard is getting it on with her. Fine. I'd love for them to record more neutral dialog as a best-case resolution, but they won't. The lesser-evil (while still being plenty consistent with her character) is to make her a love-interest for either Shep.

Yeah this is my other part of the argument but people just see I am against it when I do try and offer solutions, solutions that could work in either case.

But go ahead and pay for DLC for recycled content and no new art assets, it's your five bucks.

But, your motivations are weird and "wrong" whatever they are.

if you want to promote them making small changes and charging five bucks for another 4-6 minutes of dialog go ahead.

I figured your "side" had loftier goals than that but okay you win.

Nice way to dodge my question.

And as you should note from my sig, I don't care about making Tali romanceable for females. I was trying to figure out your interest in arguing with those who do.

In my playthrough universe, Shephard and Tali are very close and then it starts looping for arbitrary reasons.

These reasons are arbitrary, yes. But by no means i'd consider them 'not apparent' -- if she shows no sign of willing to take things further then it doesn't take rocket scientist to figure out why.

That's how you appear to me.  I don't know if it's true, but I threw it out there.    Others getting their way may conflict with things you want and are already receiving.   More f/f or m/m options may mean less straight options.

And you are so sure that you are right that you are unwilling to listen to anyone else's feedback, as you proved in your thread where you quite dramatically complimented with anyone who agreed with you while calling everyone who didn't homophobic, regardless of the body of their text.

It speaks of the Inquisition, though, that you're doing this whole bit (and have been, if I remember the thread correctly) of turning everyone whose opinion differs from your's into an evil, lie-speaking demon.

I swear people just read what they want to read.

If you want Bioware to release DLC to make your dream character in ME2 a same sex romance, then go for it, I still think is a waste of resources and fits such a small audience that it will never be done. At least my idea which isn't even really mine but I saw someone post and I agreed with it, actually suits a larger audience then you and your own desires.

You can deduce that from this aregument? You should be s psychiartrist, you should be treating people. I mean it's not like randomly calling some distrubed than making up some trivial acusations make sense. Poison..

To be honest if people actually read my posts and see that I would love to see a m/m romance and even a f/f one, I just think the notion of changing a current character is not the right way to do it, but if you so feel inclined go ahead.  I have been beating my head against these kinds of posts because people are quick to spout homophobia when I am one of the few people trying to include everyone and not just because I think it be cool to bang Tali with my fem shep.

Because you'd rather discuss posters, their motivations, and not the game? Yeah, ok, fine.

Non-romance interests get 4 or even 5 different conversations, love interests that you can't romance only get 3. If BioWare is willing to pump out the number of interactions you can have with non-romanced squadmates, GREAT! But they won't. I'd prefer more Tali without her killing herself taking her suit off, but if she's going to do it anyway so be it.

And we've been over this enough times. If you ignore things that funnily do not exist in a certain playthrough, like the actions of Malesheps somehow pertaining to Female playthroughs, there is no indication that Tali is not interested in being intimate with you. I would go with the positive and say she is, though at least she isn't suicidal. The "I got you" line alone is enough to cast some serious gray shadows over everything.

One is just repurposed content that adds what maybe ten minutes to a game while the other adds new characters new missions, new art assets, new voices, new stories.

I am not seeing how you as BioWare could go with your option over mine and still fill the niche that seems to be empty?

On top of that what if I don't want Tali as my female female romance, but I want Miranda?  Am I screwed or does Bioware release another "romance" pack for her?  At which point when does it end?  Or should they just make them all equally romanced by all of them to please fan a-z.

I'll chime in, too: I take issue with the concept of showing Tali's face at all, even in ME3, simply because it's too hard to please everyone.

As this thread's prevalence implies.

I do, for what it's worth. What would be the point? Is there really going to be any change to the gameplay/story/characterization by showing her face?
But, I'm also against most DLC anyway, so my position is biased.

That should be in ME3, honestly, but I am already sure that people will love and hate her face.

I will be fine as long as it looks semi attractive.
