That's because it was in the first game and the absence is glaringly obvious because of it. If it hadn't no one would have cared.

I bet you, dollars to donuts, even if it weren't in the first game people would still be asking for it. I've been on BioWare forums long enough to not expect otherwise.

I know that Fox new said something about Bioware being to provocative about Dragon Age. But who takes what Fox has to say seriously? And Bioware should not let what some terrible network has to say.

And you had to add this why? Like a broken record with you folks.

Because were pissed off that fox news continues to have effects on the entertainment we enjoy.  Those prudes should just STFU

Isn't kelly bi-sexual? Should have been a full romance imo.

She pretty much is a full romance. She just doesn't count towards the paramour achievement (she's not a squadmate), and she doesn't have a really cheesy "sex scene" where they fade away before anything even starts.

Hey, most of the romances (Tali, Garrus, Thane, Jack) trump ME1 by a mile when it comes to the emotional chemistry between Shepard and the character.

Asari still have "female" parts as I understand it, they just don't require them for reproduction?

I didn't have much to do with Liara on my playthrough, so the Asari experts can correct that

Dammit..Miranda should've been blonde, and had bigger boobs, and she shoul've been a nympho, and been BI, and a dominatrix. Yeah BW should cater to my outlandish demands as well!

She was intended to be Blonde, had as big a boobs as the outfit would allow, she might be a nympho in her free time, she may or may not be bi, she has a black leather outfit in heals that she wears to combat.

Your demands are met, can we work on mine?

*sigh*...Why I just want to know why, oh WHY in a game where the romances are so crappy...you care so much about who it consists of, I am genuienly curious, b/c it makes little sense to me.

As I said earlier, Shepard has very little in the way of humanizing characteristics. She is an unstoppable force more then a human being. The romances give her wants and desires of her own, not related to the continued existence of galactic civilization. Without a romance, I personally feel less involved with her as a character, and as a result, less involved with the story.

I have to disagree with you there...I liked the ME1 romance crew better.

I like the ME1 romance "sex" scene better, but i like the dialogue and music in ME2's scene better.

For ME3, take the best of DAO, ME1 and ME2's romance and mash them together.

I liked Jacob until I started pursuing the romance on my renegade Shep.

He's much better as just a friend. He's really annoying during the "romance".

You're right(completely non snarky) I did genuinely misspeak. What it should have said is

"If it wasn't in the first game and wasn't made by Bioware no one would care."

Never seen it so I will take your word for it, I can't get into my female Shepard.

He has to have more personality than Kaidan though right?

No, Shepard falling in love makes her more human. I'm sorry you can't tell sex from love, you should probably see someone about that.

But what if they don't love you back or in that way or are they required to do so?

Not really. I think Kaidan had much more personality.
95% of Jacob's romance = him making sure you aren't looking for something serious and refusing to talk about his feelings. If you try to get him to open up and talk he breaks it off very abruptly.

I appreciate that bioware believes in diversity in their characters and those characters' relationships..doesn't happen in a lot of rpgs other than the assorted elves, dwarfs, trolls, etc. Given the estimated number of gay/lesbian people in the general population today...according to wikipedia at least..how is the number in mass effect somehow deficient? Sounds like more of a complaint that some people didn't get to romance the character they wanted. That is an entirely different issue and nothing to do with the fair representation of gay/lesbian characters.

It would have been fine if Liara hadn't been axed from the game. And none of the LI's in the first game had children/terminal diseases/disfigurement/deepseated emotional trauma they haven't come to peace with yet.

I see, Kaidan always came off as flat to me, he just blends into the background.  Just not a very strong male for my female Shepard.

The ME2 romances had more dialog, I'll admit, but I don't think the ME2 romances were any more 'emotionally engaging' than the ME1 ones were.  There was just a little bit more.
